Tucker and his two course meal of Frosty Paws!

Life has been great with my wonderful companion, Tucker, but life just got better. Let me start at the beginning. The Summer heat blazed down onto the furry canine and he was so miserable. Even after we shaved most of his fur right off, he still was so hot. One warm Summer's day (not technically warm; more like an average of 105 degrees Farenheit) we stopped by Kroger to pick up some snacks to go to the pool with. We passed the pet section, and we decided to get Tucker something. He already had a dozen doggy bones, and twice as many balls. After searching for about half an hour, we decided to give in. We were walking out of the store, all thinking about what we were going to say to Tucker when we came home with nothing for him. Suddenly, something caught my eye; FROSTY PAWS! An icecream treat for dogs, a great snack, and a friendly dessert! I sware I could hear somebody in the background singing "Halleluijah!" There were three kinds of frosty paws, Peanut butter, Cheese, and Original. Original sounded too boring for an extraordinary dog like Tucker. Cheese would just make that extraordinary dog fart. We settled on Peanut Butter. When we got home, my mom held out an open cup of frosty paws for Tucker. Tucker looked up at us with those pitiful orangeish brown puppy eyes. He seemed to say: "Me? Is that for me? Really? Oh I smell Peanut Butter? Can I have it? Will you take it away from me? I CAN have it? Woof! Yay!" Tucker snatched that doggy icecream right out of mom's hand. He brought it to the white carpet and wasn't careful about staining it. He lay down and licked and licked and licked. Tucker was cooling down already! Well, the Peanut Butter treat was just the beginning, because Tucker was in the mood for a two course meal! After the frosty dessert, he ate the cup! I tell you, Tucker had a peanut butter smudged grin on his face for the rest of the day! I love you, Tucker!

I've seen these, but decided to make my own...we use yogurt, chicken broth, pb, pumpkin and kibble...mush it all up in a ziplock bag and then cut a corner from the bag and squeeze the mushy mix right into an icecube tray (one we use for ONLY the dogs). Let them freeze (usually only 30min) and then pop them out! TADA a puppy popsicle :-) our dogs love them! I make a big batch at a time and then store them in a big gallon size ziplock bag in the freezer...we are keeping them on hand this HOT summer!!

Such a cute story. I know Tucker enjoyed it.
We use to buy Daisy something similar but now we make them ourselves. Non Fat plain yogurt w/various items, peanut butter, baby food carrot, or sweet potato, or applesauce. She loves it and that is wonderful for us because the ready made was $3.69 for 4 and now we get about 12 for $4, a much better deal and I know all the ingredients.

Frosty Paws are great for doggie parties too!  We had a neighborhood birthday party out on the lawn a while back and each dog has its very own Frosty Paw.  They all loved them!  It was the quietest and holding still I have ever seen 8 dogs at one time as each owner held the cup for their dog to lick from.  We didn't let them have the cup though...maybe next time!  Just don't give more than one a day at the most because I think someone posted here a few months back about two in one day and then the poops go soft!!!  ha ha...soft serve at it's finest!
