Uh oh, Clifford is in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!

Clifford has been an absolute angel since the day he was adopted but apparently he decided to try living on the wild side today while we were away. Latte was at the vet getting spayed (supposedly) so he was completely alone - nothing new during the school year. He spends the day chewing his kong or napping (I assume). Imagine my son's surprise today when he arrived home to find a Netflix DVD and return envelope chewed up and the door to the office nudged open. His new ball was in the office so he may have been trying to get to that but since no one was home to play ball with him I can only guess he would have been busy chewing it to pieces. Did he miss Latte? Was he acting out because Latte is here? Did he really want his new ball? I don't know yet but just wait until Mom gets home - with Latte. (Don't worry, he's too darn cute for me to be mad long.)

Guinness - thanks for the talk. I'm still trying to figure this whole situation out and it's good to be able to talk to someone who understands. I'll let you know how it goes.

Clifford welcomed Latte home much as I expected he would - "oh, you came back great...not really, but I thought I had to be polite or I'd get in trouble. Now can you get out of my way, I'm trying to play here." He seems okay after eating the DVD and he's been getting lots of playtime with Dad and hugs from Mom - see, I told you I can't stay mad at him.

Hi Cliff, buddy. I understand you got in a little trouble today. I really feel your pain. You're probably getting a little sick of all that "isn't Latte adorable", "what a beautiful color she is", isn't she just the best little F Doodle girl" talk that's been going on. It's not all about HER! Well at least tonight we're all "buzzing" about YOU, Clifford. I think all of DK needed a "wake up call", and your little DVD episode did it. I hope you didn't swallow that stuff though...that could be a little tough tomorrow, if you know what I mean. I really understand why you had to get into the office....after all a new ball is pretty important. Murph and I have some new toys in Mom's closet....we keep trying to "break in" there too, but she keeps that door shut really tight. I don't know why I'm worried, because even if I get to them, my bratty brother will just take them away. So, tonight you're getting the attention you so deserve, my friend. It's not like you did anything THAT bad anyway. Later, Guinness.

I'm anxious to see how he reacts when Latte returns tonight. She left last night when he was outside and I was sure he was ready to have a little "happy me" party. She'll return tonight, without having had surgery, so he won't even feel the need to feel sorry for her. This should be an interesting reunion.

I'll try "My dog ate the DVD" with Netflix...too bad it wasn't one Clifford picked out to watch!
