Want another Doodle!

So I want another doodle! DH says one is enough. I want to convince him it is better to have two. Trying to come up with a list of all the reasons it is better. He loves and is so wonderful with the one we have. Still thinks one is enough. What to do! What to do!

I am so glad to hear this, because we are getting another puppy end of March and sometimes I wake up at night in cold sweats. This will be a new experience for our family. In all fairness to my husband, he never even batted an eye when I told him I put down a deposit on a puppy. He did comment when I told him I was thinking about the name Noodle....on that, he said no way was he standing at the dog park and yelling "Here Fudge, Here Noodle." I gave him that one. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Funny Laurie, I kinda asked that exact question when Marley came around! :-P I begged and begged and begged for a second doodle but dbf kept saying we didn't need one. For many reasons, he said we wouldn't be able to sleep with them playing all day (we work nights) and we didn't need to spend the money so we can save up for our own house. But then I get this e-mail dropped in my inbox (by my aunt/landlord) of this poor, sad, darling labradoodle free to good home. And we are a GOOD home. He kinda agreed but kinda disagreed. I finally asked "you're not going to leave me or anything if we get another dog, are you" he said no. Marley's been here ever since. And guess who naps with him daily? Plays with him all the time? and LOVES him? Plus the doods play outside all day in the back yard and are zonked at night! TWO ARE WAY BETTER THAN ONE!

You can get him to agree without any hassle. While he is asleep, just keep whispering "you want another doodle". Do it every night until it reaches his subconscious and he will suddenly agree with you.

Besides, they do keep each other company, they are hilarious to watch when they play and there is double the love and kisses.

I do a lot of window shopping... but that only makes me want another more... My DH is the more practical sensible one.. but I catch him from time to time asking Tori if she wants a friend....hmmmm. Funny, but my family always feels they can put in their 2 cents, or should I say "quarter"... sometimes I worry about what they would say than my DH... but until next Spring - at least... I'll just keep window shopping - sigh....

We have 2 cats and 2 rabbits and had 1 doodle. So I said it is unfair that everybody in this house has a buddy except for our dog.
My boyfriend also wasn't too enthousiastic about a second dog (too much work blabla) but in the end I was able to convince him.
We are both really happy with our 2 boys now although I must admit having 2 dogs is different than what I expected how it would be.

We currently have 3 dogs (and 2 cats). We have always had at least 2 dogs so they can keep each other company. Just like Ann says when Achilles is cuddling with you, DH has an empty lap. At the dog park you and DH have to take turns tossing the fetch ball. Just tell him with 2 doods its double the pleasure, double the fun.
