I went to Atlanta for my PhD residency and was gone 4 days. Got home v. late Sunday night; everyone was asleep but the dogs started barking when they heard me come through the garage. I called for them and they both came running down the stairs and attacked me with kisses and jumping and dancing with excitement. Rocky was besides himself and cried and cried. Lilo ran around in circles and brought me shoes, toys and anything else she could pick up. They finally both settled down and let me rub their bellies. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome home :D Whoever says dogs don't have feelings are crazy !!!

By contrast, when I'm gone for a few days Callie will pretty much snub me for an hour or two before she gets happy to see me. Wish that Lilo and Rocky had come with you to the ATL and that Callie could have played with them!!

One of the things I love the most about Phoebe is that I get that over the top reaction when I am gone for a mere 20 minutes over my 'expected' arrival. Her whole body wags her greeting. It is the best!
