After a week of being a quiet doodle after Thanksgiving Haley has gone in the opposite direction this week. First, he is the "energizer doodle" wanting to fetch his ball constantly. My arm is getting sore!

Monday he got overly excited about the tractor parked beside our property and when I called him he came running in his excited/prancing full speed ahead pace and spun me around and knocked me down. I landed on my back. My ankle got twisted and is swollen but does not hurt. The next thing he did was to knock his ball into the chopped up leaves in the garden then ran through them sticking his nose in them to find the ball (as if it were in snow).

Tuesday night Haley and I left my studio to come back to the house. It was dark. With no warning Haley took off like a "bat out of ****". He's never done this before. I couldn't see him so all I could do was call him. I guess I yelled so loud that my DH who had gone upstairs heard me yelling and he was on the opposite side of the house. He came with a flashlight and found Haley and an opossum having a stand-off! He said the opossum was hissing.

Wednesday morning Haley managed to overturn a chair when he stood up. (Note how close it came to hitting his Fiesta food bowl!)

So, what's next?

LOL, that first photo is priceless! Didn't Adina say something about not having many "Fall" photos for the calendar? I think you should submit that one next year!

Maybe Haley can just sense that winter is coming and he's having his last hurrahs before the cold and snow arrive! I guess the doodles don't care if they're on the naughty list, because they know that we'll forgive them anyway and they will still get their presents no matter what they do, lol!

I hope your ankle is okay!

Love the picture of Haley with the leaves.  LOVE IT.  Ned had a standoff with a baby opossum.  I had to squirt him to get him to stop.  Later we found a deceased young opossum in our bedroom.  He was not 'playing possum.  He appeared uninjured but was very, very dead.  We don't know which of our dogs presented us with this present (we have a doggy door) but I am glad I turned on the bedroom light rather than not.

Mr. Haley is just having those Christmas moments and doesn't know whether he wants to be on the naughty or the nice list.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, or Hanukkah, you can't fool a kid OR a Doodle, they KNOW and get excited. It gets progressively worse until the holiday arrives. Mr. Haley is just getting into the spirit !

Doesn't he know he's supposed to be nice not naughty at Santa time???

Love the leaves on the face!

Love that leaf photo. Sounds like he's got an extended case of the zoomies. :-)

Sounds like he is a little "wild" Doodle right now, but he is just so darn cute you can't get upset with him!  They always manage to win us over with their precious Doodle look:)
