I kind of like this big dog run mom built for us, don't you Murph?

 

 

 

 

 

Heck, if we can't swim Bella, we can run! Let's go!

 

 

It looks like we might be filling the pool within the week and this would be the last time we could take a picture of them in an empty pool. Will be fun to look back on someday.  I figured I better start showing them how to go down the steps safely before curiosity got the best of them and they jumped in at the deep end.  Not a good idea just yet.

 

Next will be training them to only go in when I invite them.....That ought to be interesting!!!

That's a great idea Suzann! Why didn't I think of that earlier. Pool starts to get filled thurs afternoon. Oh well. maybe surfboards and boogie boards instead?

Murphy & Bella look like they are already enjoying the pool.  Can't wait to see pictures of them enjoying a swim.

Jane, I like the collar idea. I will incorporate that into my training as well. Good way to add that extra layer of training when they can feel the collar on and associate it with "No pool".  I have the new bamboo fabric collars for both of them thinking they would be more comfortable when wet, and they dry quickly. But I like your idea very much.

I do their training on my own, so any ideas are appreciated. Murphy is my water dog. The jury is still out on Bella. But I have a feeling where Murphy and I go, Bella will follow. Kind of like a "Build it and they will come" philosophy.   ;)

Oh...I am sooo jealous!  Your doodles look so excited!  I think I'm more jealous of your TWO doodles than of the pool, but that just makes it worse!  Can't wait to see them IN the WATER!

Love the captions as well as the pictures.  Great dog run--LOL.  Trav gets cooled off by getting squirted with the hose.  You're all going to have such fun!
