Wishing for a big back yard.

We take Darwin to my parents house every now and then to visit, and let him run around in the backyard. It's a one acre lot, and full of fun interesting smells. There are horses on both sides of my parents lot, and he loves to run up to the fence and stare at them. It really makes me long for a backyard. We live in an apartment, and although we frequently take him to dog parks and hiking trails... nothing compares to a big yard. Hopefully in the next couple years we can find a home with a decent sized yard. My husband and I are also really excited to add another doodle to our home when that happens. Darwin loves loves loves playing with other dogs and I know he would enjoy having a friend.

I live in a condo and can greatly, greatly sympathize. We live on a greenway and golf course, so it is a great place to walk the dogs and get them outside. HOWEVER, I just told my secretary I was going to just die if the cold weather lasted much longer because I am sick of freezing while walking the dogs. Just said to her "if I don't get a house soon, i am gonna freak out!" It would sometimes be nice to just let the dogs outside and play fetch with them......and not HAVE to walk them 5x per day!
I am in Nashville and we have had highs in the 20s for the past 2 weeks - that is NOT normal for this time of year. Today we are getting to mid-40s and you have no idea how excited I am about this!!!!!

Every time I pass a big backyard or fenced in large grassy area I am envious. I have good sized yard, but would love a few acres =) By the way the SKY in that second photo is AMAZING....ah I miss blue skies!
