WORLD FAMOUS 2012 MALIBU DOODLE ROMP BENEFITS DOODLE RESCUE COLLECTIVE INC.

Doodle Rescue Collective Inc. was the beneficiary of the 2012 Southern California Doodle Romp. This unique picnic, held in the mountains above Malibu, was attended by doodles and their owners, including doodlekisses members. There were silly doodle contests, a raffle, and an auction as well as a catered lunch.  The doodle population included some former DRC rescue doods.  Jacquie York,  DRC National Director, traveled from New Jersey to join Michele Long, DRC's Southern California Director, to man a booth about Doodle Rescue.

Even if you only are able to go once, it is worth it.  It is a very different day and quite fabulous.

Wonderful!  I wish we could have joined you all!  Maybe we'll have a National Doodle Romp somewhere centrally located and we can all converge!  I have to admit, seeing the dogs and shopping the booths would be among my priorities!  And of course putting names and faces together!  Doodles just bring out the best in us - and the best of us too!

Thank you to all the many volunteers and doodle lovers that helped put this event together.  It looks like it was a great day and wonderful event for all!

It was AWESOME! .....Beautiful day, beautiful place.....Beautiful people and doodles! And it was so great to meet everyone! Michele, Nancy and Skip really worked their butts off ......... I loved meeting Frances, her hubby and of course Frankie and Johnny.......I also met Patti Barry and Zach, Ned, Clancy, Puddy, Milo and some of our other incredible California volunteers and rescue doodles who are now in wonderful homes.

Special thanks to our gracious hosts Sharon & Philip Steele, Lisa Johnson Mandel, Craige Story, the entire romp committee, everyone who attended, participated, donated and of course special thanks to Michele, Nancy and Skip who welcomed everyone, checked them in, gave out name tags, and bandannas . Not only did Michele get everything together for DRC for the event, she schlepped me and my jet lagged butt all over Los Angeles County for 3 days and at some pretty ungodly hours.

We are so thrilled to have been selected as this years charity!
