Achilles is 1 year and 4 months, he has not had an accident in the house since he was 3 months old. He was very easy to train. We set up our artificial Christmas tree last week. He was not interested in it at all. My son and I are opening my gifts from my class this evening and Achilles lifts his leg and pees on the tree. WTD!!! I was in shock. Its a fake tree, it doesn't have any smell at all. Any thoughts or ideas on why this might have happened?

ok, you have all made me realize how funny it really was. I'm hoping it was a one time thing. What would I do without you guys!

Achilles has to wait for Santa like the rest of us!

Maybe Achilles was saying "WTD??! Where are my presents?"

Well I bet that shocked the heck out of you and your son!  Doods....who knows what the heck they're thinking.  Hopefully this doesn't become a "habit".

Oh my dog - sorry but this is just funny!  Hey, if it looks like a tree it must be a tree - right?

Achilles! WTD? What were you thinking, Dood?

Sorry, Anna, but it made me laugh, too. Who knows what gets into them sometimes?

Who can understand the mind of a doodle? In any case it doesn't sound like an "accident" to me!! :)

I have no idea, but that is weird. It reminds me of when Darwin randomly peed on our bed. He had been 100% potty trained months before this instance. He hasn't had an accident since. So confusing!

Sorry I laughed cos it is really funny!

Maybe he was trying to put on "claim" on the tree and the presents?  I hope no damage done to any of the items.

No No Bad Dog (I actually saw a sign that said "my name is "no no bad dog"" at a church bazaar one year and we immediately used that name for our previous Labradoodle, Ceilidh)!  Could be that he felt left out.  He was only 4 months when Christmas occurred last year and I am sure he demanded more attention last year.  Now, perhaps he senses things aren't all about him this year.
