Hi Stacey,
Cocoa's Dad is Sam as well. Her mom is Shelby (I think this was her last litter).
Hi Stacy - Yes, We picked up Boone from Maggie last Saturday. Could not be happier with him so far!
The thing you have to remember if you buy on a breeding contract you are also agreeing to all the appropriate genetic tests and s-rays of hips, elbows & heart before breeding as you want to make sure you are producing the best pups you can. We had Harlow's hips & elbows x-rayed at 1 year and then again at 2 to make sure she didn't have hip dysplasia (her x-rays came back Good). We also had all the appropriate genetic tests run (and she is good there too). We also did the requisite eye exams and PRA test (again good). Then there is the search for the perfect "essence" of BF" (stud fee is usually the equivalent to pet puppy price). Lots of time & effort goes on even before puppies come. :)
We are in the looking for the perfect BF and OMD it's tough.
Yes I do foster a lot of doodles. I am the Georgia director of Doodle Rescue Collective, Inc. Unfortunately, we get a lot of doodles dumped in shelters here in the south.
I still can't get over how much Rosie & Harlow look alike. Even though Harlow is a F1b & Rosie's an multi-gen ALD, I suspect there is a common ancestor somewhere in their genes. :)
Do you have Rosie's pedigree? Since we got Harlow on a breeding contract I have hers.
Thank you for the warm welcome! I just looked through your pictures and "OH MY" Rosie is adorable!!! I love the blond on her face. Hank is starting to lighten a little on his face, but he is definitely darker than her overall. I have seen so many changes in color with age, I am anxious to see if he changes at all! I love the dark chocolate.....his dad and grandpa have some red in their chocolate coat and even some lavendar. We'll see!!!
