If you have a male dog that was neutered before he left your breeder, does his red rocket ever make an appearance? This is no joke. I really need to know. I have someone that is concerned about "lipstick". So there is my question. If possible, I'd like a good amount of answers. This is important research people! :o) Thanks!
Duncan had a couple of lipstick moments. Random and not anything he ever "followed through" with. It was more like an accident that it popped out. He was an early neuter.
Guinness was also neutered before we got him at 10 weeks....it has never "made an appearance". He does seem to think it's an important body part though based on the amount of licking he does there.
Chewie was a early neuter (just under 8 weeks). I have seen his "lipstick" a couple times when he is grooming down there. Also seems to be a very important task !! He also stretches his back legs out and squats to pee. I was told that since he was an early neuter that he would never develop the urge to raise his leg to pee. Which is just fine with me !!
My dog Lucky was a rehome. I assume he was neutered by the breeder before he went to his 1st owner. He is a Tegan Park Australian labradoodle. He is now 4 yrs. old and I have noticed his rocket appearing on occasion. This has just been recently that I have noticed it, not to say it hasn't happened earlier, I just might have missed it.
I have to say this is funny...Ozzy was neutered at 5 months...Yes, it still appears whenever he is happy...Being a doodle lets say he is always happy. He really doesn't do anything with it (this is a good thing) He does not mark anything or even lift his leg to pee. Ozzy' is more out than in as he is always excited and happy. (now maybe that is why)
Zoey my female doodle ways spayed at 7 weeks and she lifts her leg to pee and to poop. She has never seen a male dog lift their leg so where she picked this up I will never know... I am sure not to many females lift their leg. Hope my doodles helped in your research or just made you laugh.
Ned was neutered at 3 1/2 months and nothing has ever popped out. He squats. Our Springer and our lab mix were also neutered at about the same age and only the lab mix has occasional "sightings" and lifts his leg - but he didn't do this until he was about 6 years old!
Zeke was neutered at 8 weeks and is now almost 2 years. He does have the occasional "red rocket" appearance. This seems to occur mostly when we are walking in the park and he is very happy or excited. ( he loves the park ).
April, I really don't think Murphy has enough to protrude out. His "package" is tiny. How are his brothers? I don't have anything to compare him to besides Marley and my son's Choc. Lab. and they both are considerably bigger. I certainly like that he is so small. But does EN cause the penis to stop growing ? I too am doing my research in the early neutering issue.
Gee, Sue... It's not really a question I tend to ask when I talk to some one about their dog. "How much does he weigh? How is his coat? How is he with the kids? AND how big is his penis??? Sorry, but that question doesn't usually come up and if I started asking, I think most would think I'm crazy! LOL... YOU can ask those who have his brothers, but I'm not touching that one!
