This must be the retriever in Peri. She wants to stop and pick up any stick laying around. Sometimes they are small and managable (we call those her cigars!); sometimes they are huge tree limbs. I end up breaking one up to make it easier for her to carry. It is hilarious!
Timbow does this all the time! Yesterday we started and ended our walk with a stick in his mouth. I think he would carry it the whole time if he could! He will also find the biggest limb in the yard and try to bring it with him inside.. he's basically lost his mind. haha.
Leo is borderline obsessed with sticks, tree limbs & pine cones....He tries to get by us when he comes back in with some of these items. Occasionally he'll have a large tree limb or stick which he obvisouly doesn't realize is bigger than the deck or door opening. He acts so surprised when we catch him.
haha. Timbow used to chew on pine cones all the time when he was a puppy. I always took them away though because I think the edges are too sharp and was scared that it could hurt him?!
duncan LOVES carrying a stick in his mouth when we walk. This past summer he enjoyed carrying his waterbottle. It actually keeps our walk moving at a good pace. He just wants to get back home and lay in the grass to gnaw at it. (see profile picture)
