When Darwin gets REALLY happy, he literally, jumps for joy. This usually happens when we either talk in a really high pitched voice, pull out his favorite treats (Zukes minis), or when he knows that he is about to go out and play. He doesn't jump ON me, just jumps straight up into the air in front of me. It is so cute and hilarious! Does anyone else's doodle do something liked this? What does your doodle do when he/she is overjoyed?

Wow, this is totally amazing. I can't believe you actually got that shot. This is one happy Doodle...look at that smile. I'm thinking I'm not sure I've ever been THAT happy. In my next life I want to be a Doodle with a Mom on Doodle Kisses.
I think he was sitting when I clicked but that's what came up in the picture....You ALL know how fast they move!! And, I'm with you Jane, being a doodle with a Mom on doodlekisses is my wish for my next life too!!
Truly terrific shot!
Great photo!
Great picture - what a face!
This is one of my all time favorites!!! I can't believe how clear this came out. We have tried so many times to catch Tori mid air, but missed and it came out so blurry. We do have video, but I have to figure out how to put it on my page. Maybe this will be one of my many weekend assignments!
Lily does her "Tigger" imitation mostly when I say "Let;s go for a walk". Zeke does donuts round and round and Lily leaps straight up in the air. She does this at other times when she's happy too but going for a walk does it to her every time.
It would be fun to have a collage of doods doing their overjoyed looks. I don't know how to make collages though!
Oh YES!!!! Tori jumps when we come home from work and school. She actually charges at us and jumps so high that she can almost reach our faces. We have to be careful not to bend down as she's jumping up, or we get a real clunk - and usually in the nose. She also jumps real high and does like a 360 in the air when we play catch with her too. Gotta' get her into some agility classes. Will probably help with her socialization too... but not till the spring.
i have a corgi girl who is notorious in the family for getting you in face...:) if you bend over to pet her (or anyone else for that matter, yes she's the demanding jealous type who doesn't like other girls...lol), sit down, pick something up, tie your shoes, go to the bathroom or anything else that requires a sit, squat or bend...:) she jumps up & if you aren't paying attn she'll pop you in the eye (mom's had a black eye, luckily mine don't blacken), nose (sister had a swollen one, me too for that matter), lip (mine bled, swelled up like i was a boxer) or anything else that she can reach...
morgan jumps up, jumps in circles, & when we're outside & he's excited he can jump high enough that his head & shoulders get above the 6' pool fence (he stands at 22" & weighs 48lbs) is it normal for a dog this size to be able to jump this high? it really scared the heck out of me the first time i was in the front yard & he jumped at the gate i'll tell you that i thought for sure my newly rescued dog was about to jump the fence & run down the street for sure!
Yes, my Gracie Doodle weighs 70 lbs and stands somewhere between 27 and 29". She is a very tall standard Goldendoodle and very, very agile. We did agility for fun. She jumps our hedges in the back yard and easily cleared our 4 ft. high driveway gate. We now have it 6 ft. tall and KNOW she can't jump that!!! Keep aneye on Morgan because Gracie is almost 3 yrs. and she only started jumping the gate about 6 months ago just out of the blue. It is not to get away or run away. She only would do it when her "dog friends" were out in front and I was not quick enough to grab her ball and poop bag to take her out to play with them.
