Footwear is the only thing that has to be put out of Jack's reach when no one is home. His specialty is pulling out the insoles. He's also very fond of munching on fuzzy sherpa and shearling shoe linings.
HAHAHAHAHA! I am safe with shoes and Ned but.... don't leave a half read book on the coffee table! At least for the last one he got (last week), digested the beginning which had already been read, and left the exciting conclusion! Our Springer ate one each of two NEW pairs of Berks that my husband had left out. Luckily for us he outgrew it.
Ned is quite considerate, only eating the part of the book you'd already read and leaving the conclusion. I hope you gave him a reward for his thoughfulness!

lol, What is it with the heel of the shoes that they like? Ours has done that countless times. The other things are the ends of the shoelaces too. You think a person would learn to keep those tasty treats away from the dogs.
To Nancy and Ned, I think our doodles are so curious as to why we spend so much time with the book. If we read it for so long, they must destroy it so we spend even more time with them. Willow destroyed a hardback library book very quiety in the back of the suv in a matter of minutes. Darn kids, but we love them anyhow!
hey... we have a shoe that may be the perfect match for yours! LOL She used to go after the shoelaces mostly and cut them in two with those razor sharp teeth of hers. I swear she could cut through a rope faster than a rat! KNOCK WOOD... she mostly leaves them alone now... but tomorrow may be another story now that I opened my mouth - lol
