Bodi has been having diahreah. Unfortunately he did it twice in my son's room. On . . . the light blue carpet .The spray on cleaner does not seem to be working! Does anyone have a carpet cleaner that is light weight?? I have a bad back and can not carry anything too heavy. BTW I fed Bodi homemade chicken and rice and that usually settles his stomach . . . .so I'm not JUST thinking about the carpet. The doodle comes first!
I too have a really problem back ( another story). I swear by the little green machine ( also called spot bot). It is very light weight and you use it only for small areas by getting on your hands and knees. My has totally removed ball point pen ink ( Tigger and Roo's favorite treat is a stolen whole pen), chocolate, lots of blood, mustard and just plain mud. They are not terribly expensive and much more effective than spray on spot removers and blotting with towels.
Okay here it is people...the only thing in the world that works to remove the enzymes that diarrhea and vomit produce on your carpets. Being the proud owner of four long-haired, constantly vomiting cats, and one nearly house-trained puppy...nothing on the market works like Hydrogen Peroxide (H202) You can buy it cheap in bulk and just pour it onto the stain, let it soak through for a few seconds and then rub it with a DRY cloth. The stain will miraculously lift up and I promise, there will be NO DAMAGE or color discoloration to your carpet of furniture. However, DO NOT try this on anything wood or leather...I promise this is the best kept secret in the world and the only thing that has "saved my marriage" Ha ha....
One last suggestion, after you douse with cleaner (by the way, club soda and salt are good as well) put a light colored towel over the stain then put a heavy book on top. Leave for several hours. Usually works like a charm.
