Since the weather was so nice for March in NW Indiana yesterday (yeah), I decided to take Chewie for a walk on a walking path.  On the mile and a half path I lost count of all the the dog poop that some owners did NOT clean up.  It was disgusting.  I spent most of the time saying "No" and "Leave It".   Not sure why some people do not clean up after their dogs ??  Please remember to carry your bags with you when you go for walks.  Thanks !!

LOL so true

But I actually have scoop up what is called, " The Orphan Poop".
Another Great One !!
I Love It !!!
Our city parks & rec department has placed "Poop Stations" stragetically along the walking trails in our parks. These are Poo bags dispensers and trash cans for depositing poo. What frustrates me is even with these stations there are people who still don't pick up after their dogs.
Same here- it is frustrating. I walk at such a nice "walking" park and people just do not have an concern. Poop stations everywhere. Ignorant!
ITA! I pick-up Chewie's poop immediately whether on a walk or even on my own property. I have a neighbor who let's her dog run loose. He is a small dog and I shutter thinking of what might be inevitible, especially as she has younger kids who would be heartbroken. She already had another dog get hit by a car. Anyway, back to the topic...I guess it doesn't bother her that he poops anywhere in the neighborhood he pleases. I am always cleaning his up also.
I had Lilly at local park this week and they have signs up and bags if you need them. The signs say please clean up after your dogs... and as we were walking on the trail we had to go around piles of HORSE poop!!! I don't get why they don't have to clean up theirs!!
This is such a pet peeve of mine it is causing me to post on this thread twice :)

I am equally disgusted by how many people don't clean up after their small dogs while walking them in our neighborhood. I come across so many small poops (and it's clearly from a dog and not from another wild animal) which I bet come from smaller dogs. It drives me crazy - just because your dog is small and makes small poops doesn't mean you shouldn't pick them up!! I sometimes pick them up if my doodles poop near it because I feel badly for the person living there who many not even have (or like) dogs!

Our neighbor across the street lets their chihuahua (sp?) wander the neighborhood. I have witnessed him pooping on our front yard several times. I am so tempted to leave a bag of Dexter's poop on their front porch to return the favor.
Too funny !!
Several years ago I was standing on the sidewalk waiting for my late dog Buddy to finish his business. As I bent over to pick it up my bag blew away (dark winter snowy evening) in a huge gust of wind. As I was standing there wondering what I was going to do, the door of the house opened and a man started yelling at me. I tried to explain what happened and told him I would be right back with a bag to pick up the poop. When I returned, I couldn't find it!! The man was there waiting and he was still very angry telling me that I had no intention of picking it up. He was watching me walk all over looking for the poop but I couldn't find it. Finally after weaving back and forth all over his grass, I FOUND IT, picked it up and walked home with my bag of poop. So...some of us will go to great lengths to pick it up. Honestly, after his rudeness I felt like just walking away leaving it on his lawn!.
I've been cleaning up after two dogs all winter, the thing is I only have one dog. For some reason the neighbours think it's all right to not clean up after their dog. I have considered saving up the poop and depositing it back on their lawn . I still think I may do that and maybe they'll get the message. Is that too rude?
Might be worth a try ???
