Photos of 3 month old f1b goldendoodles

Just wondering if people who have f1b doodles could send me photos of their puppies at 3 to 4 months of age.  I purchased my golden 1 1/2 months ago and I am having doubts that he is in fact an f1b as the breeder said.  he is looking very much like a regular golden retriever. very little curl at all rather short hair.  Don't know much about the breed and if he will change and start looking like all the photo's I've seen.  So if anyone can send me photo's of f1b at 3 to 4 month of age I would appreciate it.

F1b goldendoodles can have flat coats. It isn't as common as it is with F1's, but it does happen. Also, give him time. Doodle puppies go through several coat changes. His coat will most likely get thicker and wavier within the next few months. Can you post pictures of your pup?

There is no "sure deal" when it comes to a doodle's coat. Like April (who know's WAY more about what she's talking about than I do :-) ) said, F1b's normally have more "doodley" coats, but definitely CAN have flat coats. My breeder had a litter of F1b's a few months ago and one (out of 11 puppies) had a flat coat. With a mixed dog there can be no guarantees. -- with that said, most doodle's have a coat change around 6-12 months and your doodle's coat could change dramatically then. This is such a great picture! I'm new to Doodles and DoodleKisses, but this is the EXACT look I'm looking for! The litter I am in line for now; the mom is a red F1 with a wavy coat and the dad is a mini red poodle...I'm hoping for pups to look similar to yours! I still like the more shaggy Benji type look of the F1 but ideally I want a smaller dog and the least amt of shedding. Do you have more pictures of what your dog's coat looks like now? I'm having a hard time deciding, so I don't want to end up with a coat on my pup that I dislike...Your pup's coat doesn't seem to be too curly, like a  perfect mix between semi curly and wavy.

You can see more by clicking on her page and looking through her photos.  I would say he is quite curly and a lot of puppies that look like that above would end up quite curly.  At least it would be VERY difficult to see the diff between 'semi curly' and 'wavy' in a pup.

Everyone else is correct. Even though statistically speaking, the F1b is 75% poodle (only on average, not a guarantee of an individual pup), there cab still be the odd "retriever" looking pup in any litter. I once saw a beautiful F1b labradoodle (photo only) that looked almost exactly like a lab except it was lankier. NOT doodley at all, but definitely came out of the same litter as it's other F1b littermates.

That's because it depends on how the genetic dice are tossed (which we have no control over). It's still a MIXED breed at the F1b level so there is no sure fire guarantee. Do you know who the parent were? Did you meet them? Have you seen other pups from that same litter?

Our Gunner has very little wave, no curl. He was the only one in the litter like this. He took most of the Golden Retriever features. All doodles look different & they change over time, however Gunner has never really taken any poodle look & he sheds a lot, but I do know he is a mix of Retriever & Poodle, I got to see both parents.
