Perhaps if your website included any information at all on testing of your breeding dogs, as well as any information at all about your purchasing policies, health warranties, or sales contract, that would help clear up these misunderstandings.

I'm curious. Have you contacted the Pyrenees rescue (apparently they have physical custody of Cooper) to extend your generous offer to take him back?

We became aware of Cooper's adoption after he had been placed in his permanent home. A family contacted us looking for a pyredoodle because they saw the ad for Cooper and found him to be unavailable. We immediately called the agency but they could not give us any further information about his new location. I tried today to reach the agency to make them aware of their outdated ad, but only reached an answering machine. I will try again tomorrow.

Got it. Cooper has been listed for a long time, so I'm not surprised to learn he's been adopted.

It's not an "ad". It's a listing on Petfinder. And it isn't an "agency", it's a rescue group staffed by unpaid volunteers.

I was wondering about the comment on the testing of the breeding stock as well. It isn't mentioned on your website Leanne. It looks as though there isn't alot of information that a person who had a list of what to look for in a breeder could find on your site. You must have alot of time for phone calls in that case.
I was also interested in the association that you are a member in. The American Hybrid Association. I went to that web site to see it and it doesn't seem to have much in the way of breeder info either. It does seem that it lists the names of combinations of breeds and the statement that the first breeder of such a mix gets to name the new breed first or then the association gets to name it. It just seemed that was the only purpose on the site.
I don't see the point in some of the combinations that are listed on the site. I thought that the point of mixing two breeds were to create a better breed. In some of these combinations I could see potential for real issues that would be created instead.
Your puppies look beautiful. I dont know anything about pyreness. But if I was looking for a pet I wouldn't be interested in you as a breeder as I couldn't get the info from the site that I needed to do any research. These days that is how alot of people find the breeders of their choice. That is how I researched my doodle for a couple of years before purchasing him. Then I researched breeders in my area that met my criteria.
I hope that the person who initially came looking for a pyreness cross finds a pet that he is interested in and can love for a lifetime. From what I am hearing about the pryeness there is enough concern about your time in life and where you are now that would make me ask you to really research into what you really need and what you want. Maybe wait until your settled to see what fits better and wait to find the perfect fit.

Really, why is there even a need for a Poodle/Pyrenees mix. There is already a good sized, non-shedding, livestock guardian breed. It is called a Komondor.
