Sue, what is the name of the flower in this last image? (The one with a green background.) May I have your permission to do a painting of it?

Linda I don't know the name of the flower. It's actually a tree that is flowering right now. The leaves turn a dark purple after flowering. Here is a pic from my backyard.

Of course you can do a painting of it. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Here is a picture of my gardens on April 23- remember I live in southern California. the top picture is in the backyard and the bottom picture is the planting bed near the front door. The stars of the pictures are Tigger (brown) and Roo (black). The roses in the front garden are an older shrub rose called 'Cherry Parfait' . It is impervious to almost everything and loves the heat.
