Hey, this is not REALLY to do with gardening, but I figured if any one could help me, you guys could! I am trying to hunt down a five petal gumpaste cutter, but a specific one. There are online cake specialty stores that sell cutters specifically made for certain types of flowers... but I don't know what kind of flowers these are! I've included a picture of the flowers I want to recreate. Anyone have an idea of what type of flowers these are supposed to be?

Possibly Stephanotis (sp). It is usually used in floral arrangements.
Yep, I just Googled Stephanotis and that is the exact flower in the picture!! Yippee I got it right for once!
Or could be phlox. Can you direct us to a list of the flower cutter types available?
It looks to me like the Stephanotis is five petaled with slight separation between each and pointed on the ends. The phlox also has five petals but they overlap each other like a pinwheel. You decide which. The photo you provided looks like it is not the real flower but marzipan or frosting made. I still think they are Stephanotis!

Here is the Stephanotis:

Here is the Phlox:

These look really similar. I am doing a search on Phlox right now.
The ones in the photo are more rounded I think. What really matters is what the cake cutter manufacturers think!
I haven't found a specific site exactly... I've been looking around. This website has a wide variety, but they are hard to find, which was why I wanted a search term.

I was thinking about getting these.

I wonder if Phlox and Stephanotis are too obscure? I certainly hope not. I'm not sure I can mold those by hand...
Phlox is a very common garden flower. I gather from what the others have said that stephanotis is common in bouquets. But what difference does that all make. You are the decorator and can do what you prefer. The five petal cutter looks to me like it will fit the bill. Your "productions" look great and you must enjoy doing them. that's what's important. there was a jasmine cutter that looked like what youhad in mind, too.
This site has a wide variety, and you search a-z. I didn't see any for either Stephanotis or Phlox. Is there another flower that is more common they may look like?

I vote for stephanotis... I had them in my wedding bouquet. did you put them on a cake you made??? If it's going on a wedding cake... it would be stephanotis, but usually the petals are a bit more pointy than those... also look a bit like white impatiens petals.....(you "cake boss", you!) - LOL
Thanks for your help everyone! I am going to order that cutter set and hope I can recreate it, and I'll keep my eye out for a cutter specifically meant for stephanotis, or phlox.
Didn't I see a Stephanotis cutter on the "sugarcraft" website? Here it is...

Stephanotis
Stephanotis
3/4" metal #252S $6.35

Stephanotis
1 1/8 x 1 1/8" #252 $8.00
Mexican hat Method - Fun to make! can be used for all small flowers. Make a ball of gumpaste. Form it as shown with 'peak' and cut out flower. Thin and broaden but do not lengthen petals. Insert hooked wire from top, which is barely dampened on the hook. Shape throat. Shape petals and dry. Dust center yellow. Add tiny calyx at bottom of throat. More instructions
