Problems with Gentle Leader?

I love Gentle Leader and we have been using it for over a year now. However, every so often, out of no where with no major force or tug applied, the hook from the leash popps off of the ring on the chin strap of Gentle Leader. Did that ever happen to anyone?

Has this happened with more than one leash? If not, it sounds like it could be a weak hook on the leash vs. the gentle leader. I've never had any problems with mine for either of the girls and we have been using them for close to 2 years now.

I thought it was a leash that came with the gentle leader, and / or the particular gentle leader - possible defect -
However, it happened with two different gentle leader with three different leashes!!

We use the easy walk instead of the gentle leader... but I believe they are by the same brand. We have never had any issues with this. I think it may be your leash...

I use the Easy Walk as well and have not had any problems, I always use the same leash. I would try a leash with a different type of clip?

Does the gentle walk cause rubbing of the hair or matting? My husband thinks it will so he doesn't want ot use that.

We haven't had any problems with matting from the Gentle Leader.

We use the gentle leader all the time- never have that problem.

That's never happened to me either.  It sounds more like the leash than the Gentle Leader.
