I need some suggestions on how to make Sheba look more girly.  EVERYONE calls her a boy.  Is it because of her color and the fact that she has a beard (which I adore)?   : )  lol

I thought I'd start with a new collar and tag.   I find it hard to find a collar that looks good with her coat color. Also, it needs to be sturdy as she is a VERY active dog.  Any suggestions on what color collar would look good on her but make her look more feminine?  I'm stumped.  

Here is what she is wearing now.  I bought it at REI which sells camping and sporting goods. I found that it snags easily and doesn't hold up too well.  (Not the greatest photo of the collar, sorry!)  The collar does look kinda boyish, I guess.

Here are a couple photos that show her coat color.  Oh, and speaking of her coat color, does anyone want to make a suggestion on what color she is?  Sable?  Merle? Brindle?

I still don't know!

I've bought a few collars from them, and they're awesome. They are sturdy and very well made. I bet you could get her name and phone number embroidered on. I haven't done that, but they do advertise that they personalize.

Great, I need sturdy collars, for both Sheba and Duke. I'm not sure if I want to go the route of having my phone number embroidered on the collar but it is an option. Thanks again Jane!

Ann -- at this same site you can also buy a little pouch that matches the collar that clips on the collar and holds all their tags.

I had stainless tags made up that have all the information and say that the dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, etc. It has the vets name and #, too. They only wear that and the microchip tag. I put a rubbery ring around one tag which supposedly glows, so the tags don't clink. I don't have them wear the rabies tag although they are supposed to but hopefully none of the tags are needed and I could always supply the info., as could the town.

I could probably remove the rabies tag as it is getting hard to read. I'm not sure about the county dog license. It's getting really hard to read but I'm not sure if there is a fine if they don't have it on. Mostly it just looks like a bunch of junk hanging on their collars. Where did you get your tag? OMG...I didn't see the coloring at 1st...but I thought there for a moment it was Guinness & Rosco. When I look real quick... anyway sable sounds good. She's real cute anyway, you could put a bow in her hair!!!

You're right Joyce, at first glance our doods do look very similar! Yours are beautiful!!! I checked out your page. Thanks for your input on her coat color. I tried bows in the past but she rips them out within minutes! Thanks for the suggestion though! : )
