I never understood why all the controversy surrounding Rutland Manor

Please read it.  Before reading it I did not know what to believe now we all know the truth.

Months ago I tried to research and figure out who was telling the truth. So confusing with postings from people who had gone to stay at RM & stated that all was like living in Oz. My heart breaks for those doodles left behind!!

I have been confused about the RM controversy for a long, long time. With so many contradicting stories, it's hard to know what is true. If it's the "Kate" I think it is, she was one of the staunchest supporters... so I was shocked to read this. I'm glad we are finally getting down to the truth, and those photos are truly horrifying.

I should clarify, I wasn't shocked to learn about the atrocities at RM. I was shocked to read that Kate specifically had changed sides. Because of how violently she had protested the accusations against Beverly.

You are a very courageous person.

Having met Beverley and experienced her strange behavior first-hand, I am not surprised that Rutland Manor’s shiny website does not at all resemble the reality of how these poor dogs were living.

Kate, you are a hero for following your instincts and reassessing what was happening.

As difficult as I’m imagining this is for you and your family, I hope you can take some comfort in the fact that there’s a Texas-size ranch with a whole bunch of dogs who’ve been given a second chance at a happy life.

Kate, you took photos of our puppy Andie during your last trip there, as Andie and Yindi are from the same Ava/Knossos litter. Not sure if you are aware of our story:

We are just one of many; this is a very unfortunate situation for so many people, and so many dogs.

I'm confused about one thing. My understanding was that Twyla Pyles and her husband are indeed breeding the RM doodles in TX, at "Rutlands Legacy". I know that Twyla had gotten an intact male, Akubra, from Beverley more than a year ago, who has supposedly sired a litter already. Is this not the case?

Yes, it is true that Akubra sired a litter and most of the puppies died because there was some "miscommunication" about some health issues of the poor bitch. You can read about it on the RM Exposed Site.
The cooperation between them is over but the dogs are still with Twyla. Only she will be able to tell what is going to happen with them now.
RM has some dogs left in Australia and another litter was born there already since those incidents in the US.

There is a Rutlands Legacy website with not much info. Beverley has a warning about them on the RM website. You could write a soap opera.

The website was built before the dispute between Beverley and Twyla began. Several litters where born on Twyla's property and 7 puppies came from the US to the Netherlands. Then the cooperation failed, Twyla kept the dogs and Beverley went back to Australia. Contrary to RM Twyla is doing good in not commenting the whole situation and posting ridiculous warnings and accusations on the website.
Indeed you can write a soap opera about it but unfortunately are the dogs the ones which are suffering. Do they need to go all the way back to Australia now after they were shipped to the US? If so they will even need to go into quarantine...
I would wish that the dogs are left alone now so that they can live in rest from now on.

I am so appreciative that you posted this here because I don't access doodle zoo. I truly admire Kate for publicly discussing this and exposing it. I knew that Kate had visited and so I tended to disbelieve the rotten underbelly of RM because she HAD been there. Now we all know. This must have been so very hard for her to write.
