The Hopeless Doodle Addict Trophy has Arrived in Nashville, TN!!!!

Well, DK friends...I always knew this day would come. I am now officially addicted to doodles!!!

 

Yesterday I came home to a wonderful package from F. Parker, Calla and Luca (the latest recipient of the trophy), which included the infamous trophy, treats, bandanas, and New Jersey tourism guides! F. and her doodles sent us quite a spread! Here is a photo - you can see it included some great skinneez toys (no stuffing), liver treats, bandanas, a ball (that Peri is currently throwing around the room as I write this), a cool pen, and New Jersey tourism info (where F. is from!).

 

Immediately, Peri started trying to get the Skinneez....she has not had one since she was probably 6 months old because she tends to destroy them.  Look at her excitement!

 

Then it was time for the bandanas to be put on and the kids to play!  Peri and Taquito were both thinking "geez, it's been a while since we have had a plush toy".... DH came home and wondered why Taquito was wearing a frilly bandana.  I personally LOVE It :) He's a chihuahua after all.....not the manliest dog LOL!

 

About 10 minutes later, I had gone back to change into casual clothes...Peri dropped the skinneez at my feet. This is why I don't buy plush toys (even without stuffing) folks!  I would be broke. So thanks F. for the fun!

 

 

DH finally got home and asked me what this was all about.  I told him it was a "prize" for people active in doodle stuff (like food, puppyhood, etc..).  He knows I get on DK, but I think now he knows how often that is...uhoh! He just laughed and said "cool toys and stuff" - then read the NJ guidebooks and took my photo:

 

 

Peri had been at daycare all day yesterday and refused to look at the camera....sorry about that!

 

To all my DK friends - I have enjoyed all of our discussions - I am so much more enlightened on dog ownership now, especially the joys of life with a doodle. I honestly think DK.com has helped me get through Peri's toughest puppy times.  So thank you to all!  And a special thanks to F. Parker for sending me the trophy and gifts :)

You are very welcome, glad the package arrived. And glad you joined the club.I loved the photos but really, the girly bandana was for Peri and poor Taquito (our apologies for the embarassment little guy) was supposed to get the one with bones : ) We do understand the life of plush toys but we keep the "remains" and from time to time a lifeless Skineez body gets back int play for a while. The dogs don't seem to mind the missing squeakers, tails ears etc.

My poor dogs. I make it such a boring life for them. We have NEVER heard of Skinneez. Do you pronounce it-- SKINNY?

I'll have to check it out next time I go toy shopping. Another question. Does that Chuck It ball have eyeballs? Cute :) Such fun looking things. I'm sure it brightened the day. Peri and Taquito, it is such a pleasure to have your my with us online! I am so glad she is out there and addicted. I know you are living the good life because of this too! Enjoy :)
