OMD!  What a Saturday we have had with the new puppy.  He is so energetic.  This morning when we put him outside, he started digging under a tree on the deck.  He took out all the bricks and dug a big hole (looking for a gopher?).  He runs in front of the leaf blower catching acorns before they can hit the ground.  It doesn't seem to bother him at all.  He jumps into his water bowl just to splash the water all over the place.  We took him to Santa Cruz with us today and the car is puppy proofed but he crawled under the blocker and tore up the arm rest in the back seat.  He was sitting in the back seat looking very happy when we got back to the car.  He can grab things so quickly (shoes from the closet, socks from the hamper, treats from the pantry) and then he is gone.  He got the remote from the bookcase today and we were just able to save it.  We took him to two dog parks this week and he was absolutely in heaven with all the bigger dogs.  Nothing bothers him.  He loves to wrestle with other dogs.  This is definitely not a shy dog!

LOL reading this. You have your hands full with this guy.
Bet you can't wait for the rest of the week to unfold! That is one energetic puppy!
WOW! You do have your hands full, but I can laugh or cry right along with you. We have had Bella (11 weeks old now) for just one week and she is like a 2 year old that just learned to run! One minute you see her, the next you don't. And it's in those brief moment you don't that something NOT GOOD is either getting or gotten done. She loves paper, any kind, toilet, tissue, paper towels, newspaper, or whatever is in the recycle bin.
She is definitely keeping me on my toes. Thanks for the update about the car though. We are taking her with us on a two day road trip this week so I will remember to keep her safely tucked in her crate while driving. Tearing up our leather arm rests would put me over the edge I think. Keep the stories coming, it makes those of us with puppies feel not so alone!
That's one thing about Doodle puppies....there's never a "dull moment". I remember being totally exhausted at the end of the day the first few weeks after we got our guys. I think you're going to have a little "tough guy". Enjoy this time....they're not puppies for very long.
I laughed out loud when I read this post. Good luck with the pup!
I'm sure I'll be laughing again someday too but right now I have to go get a name tag made as she tried to sneak out the garage door as it was going down!!!! Wasn't sure if I was more scared that she'd get crushed or get out! OYE!!!! Oh...wait, what;s that chewing sound I hear....OH NO!!!! Gotta go.
Ahhh... Those good ol' puppy days!!!!
This was so great to read. He sounds like such a happy dog! Can't wait to hear more and see more of him.
Holy Doodle!! This reminds me of the good old days when Tara was a puppy!!! It sounds like you have a little whirling dervish on your hands!!! LOL!!! Enjoy!!!
Egads! This puppy needs some serious work. Enjoy!
Oh boy do I remember those days. I had more holes in them from Cody grabbing and trying to shred. But rest assured they do outgrow "most" of this.
Thank god that first year for dog parks. Cody was the most social puppy and played with only the biggest dogs in the park. Now unfortunately it's all about the ball.
I honestly have never been as exhausted as I was the first month of having Gunner. I did laugh when I read your post. It will get better, they are just very BUSY puppies. Good luck. Any time you are feeling frustrated, come to this site, it will help!
