Help Needed - Pulling Doodle Baby From Kill Shelter - HAPPY UPDATE!!! :-)

Hey guys - there's an adorable doodle boy in a kill shelter in York, SC (a little southwest of Charlotte). Can anyone in the area go and pull this sweet boy? (just look at the picture - you know he's sweet!). You do not have to foster, just pull! Please send me a private message if you can help!

(I know I have a doodle nose obssession, but this little guy has a FABULOUS doodle nose!)

This is making me soooo sad. I told DH a long time ago if he ever makes enough $$ so I don't have to work, all I will do is pull dogs and get them to safety.

I'm soooo happy he was adopted. The girl on the phone made it sound like no one ever adopted from them so I was sweating this one a little bit.

His nose has me over the moon though! I hope his new folks understand what a truly exceptional doodle nose they have on their hands! (now I can't wait to go home and kiss Callie's nose!)

I've noticed that a lot of Retriever & Poodle Rescue groups end up having doodles listed on Petfinder. Sometimes do they end up beating the DRC or iDog on pulling a doodle? Just curious....it really doesn't matter as long as they are saved :) I guess I am thinking out loud. That "adopted" could likely mean pulled by a rescue org?

It could; but that would still mean he is safe. Local all-breed rescues pull from kill shelters, too. Even non-local ones do. There are several private all-breed rescues here in IL & WI that pull dogs from kill shelters in the south and bring them up here to foster and adopt out. Many of them do a very good job.

I am so glad that this dog was saved! I'm pretty new here so can I ask a question about the DRC. Where would I go to find more information out about this group? I donate money to other causes and since falling in love with Rooney Doodle might add doodle rescue to the mix. Sadly I'm not supper dupper rich or anything, just fortunate and try to share. Thanks.
