Hi

Does anyone have a doodle that greets you by pushing his head between your knees and standing with his body mostly out the other side facing the other way?

Its not like a groin thing (!) but Dylan likes to push his whole body through by our knees so all we have is his rear end in front of us. Its a bit like we become one of those push-me-pull-you two-headed creatures from Dr Doolittle!

He'll stand there for ages and if we move forward, he'll just scoot round to the front and do it again.

I do find that when his face it wet he'll do this to dry himself as I guess he doesn't like the feeling. But he does it every day when I get home from work, no wet face!

just wondered??

Uh, Yeah! Our male, Hunter does it all the time! And with him being so tall, I could put a saddle on him and ride him around the house...backwards of course :-) Good thing I'm home, because my pants become the poster ad for some fur remover device! I just scratch his butt, I figure that must be our greeting now. He does it more to me than he does to my husband and Daisy, his sister, doesn't do that at all. I don't think it's necessarily a male thing either, because our previous pups we had were liter mate sisters, and only one of them did that too, but she did it to both of us.
morgan will do that for a bit than realize he can't stare me in the eyes...:) so he'll run through then hurry back & sit down in front of me for a good stare while he wiggles, until he can't stand it anymore then he'll jump up & "hug" then start the "zoomies" with periodic sit downs/run thru my legs & jump up/hugs its all very satisfying i must say then when he's exhausted himself he'll plop down
Peri does this to my husband all the time. It's when "she wants her pets" (according to husband!).
Lucy and Sophie both do it! But they don't stop, they will go round and round and long as you let them. DH calls it "Noodling"
My in-laws have a lab that greets this way!! She is looking for a good butt scratch from whoever will give it, and when you start scratching she bows down so her butt is way up in the air! I think its pretty cute :)
Dustin bows all of the time too! He actually knows the command bow, but feels he needs to do the "bow" thing before going outside, when he gets up in the morning, or when he's been laying down for a little bit. Dustin also likes to place his toes on our toes when he bows, which can be pretty painful. Crazy doodle.
That is so adorable - at least you know what to expect - Daisy is at the door but not for long, she runs to get a toy as soon as we open the door and then we have to catch her to kiss her - it is her little game. I love doodle games, yours sounds hilarious.
Murphy does the same as Daisy. I always ask him "what treasure are you giving me today?" He goes around in circles but won't stay still enough for me to say hello, so that is his way of greeting us.
Bella has learned to do the between the legs greeting and get her butt scratched. Guess it's just their individual greeting rituals... They are both cute.
Sounds so cute! Riley doesn't do this, but he does like to poke people in the butt when they bend over. It was quite a shock for my mom when she visited.....she was dressing and didn't realize that Riley snuck into the guest room with her.
Ellen, that is too funny!!! I have a doodle name Riley and he does the same exact thing!!! We say that you have just been doodle-poked!!!
Rua thinks that Albus must be part cat!
Roo used to do this when we came home, but seems to have outgrown it. Tigger still does it. I think it is so funny and fun and have encouraged it because they can't jump up like lunatics while they are doing that.
