I found this ad today on the local Craigslist!!! So sad!!  :(

 

I don't really have a desirable car that people would WANT to steal but I didn't know that VW Beetles were either!!! We don't leave Tara alone in the car at stores even for a minute!!

 

Hope he finds his way home soon!!

They are offering a reward and seem to care less about the car, they just want the furkid back.  One interesting point though is that in the first post they called him a Labra-Doodle and in this one a Goldendoodle?? WTD?? Maybe they did it to cover all the search options?

Craigslist won't let you post in different cities - say for me in Akron - there is the Akron/Canton posting and the Cleveland postings You can't post something twice so you have to be creative in your wording so that they don't flag it and remove it :-( For lost pets I think there should be an exception because some areas are really close in a situation like this. I pray that they get him back. Facebook I think is a great way to spread a message like that with as many people that can "share". So sad.

THURSDAY EVENING UPDATE: Beo is HOME!! I talked with his mom on the phone tonight and apparently Beo never got out of the car. The car was found about 2 blocks away from where it was taken. It had been run off the road and could not be seen from the road but was found yesterday with Beo in it. He had been in it for 2 days. He was dehydrated but otherwise in GOOD CONDITION!! Hooray!!Thanks to all of you for your pawsitive thoughts for Beo. His mom sounded so sweet and extremely happy to have him back.

OMD, thank goodness for all the pawsitive thoughts. I am sure that helped get Beo home safe. YAY I love happy endings!! Did you tell them to join DK?? I wanna see the Mohawk!

I didn't tell her about DK!! But I did tell her that I and 6000 of my friends have been following their story on Craigslist! LOL!! She said that she put a "thank you" classified in the newspaper to thank everyone who helped find him and to let everyone know that he is home. It sounds like the community really stepped up to help find him. :)

That's great. Am so curious about the theft. Maybe BEO was asleep for the first block then woke up and scared the CARP out of the thief so he had to stop, and run!

Wow, I can't imagine Murphy staying in a car for 2 days. There must not have been any windows open and the weather was obviously not too severe. This is so amazing that it ended well. I am so happy for them all.
