I bought a doggie recipe book that came with little cookie cutters in the shapes of fire hydrants, squirrels and bones. Here are two that i am going to try tomorrow.
They say that it's best to freeze these until you're ready to give as gifts or give to your dog. Or otherwise use within a few days from making.

Thanks so much....I'm definitely going to try these. They sound very yummy! Just one question...what size can of pumpkin puree...my store has two sizes. Thanks again!
3/4 of a cup. So it doesn't matter which size can. My guess is that even the smaller size can would have at least 3/4 of a cup in it.
Thanks, I read this wrong. Got it now....
Sounds delicious. I will be making them for xmas gifts :)
There is a DK cookbook. You should add these recipes to our cookbook too. We make cookies in our home A LOT. I would find it impossible to keep the shape but I admire anyone wanting to give this....ONE TRY LOL
I will definitely try these. Thank you for the recipe. Where did you find the recipe book with the cookie cutters?
I don't know where i got the book but i see that the recipes are from Bubba Rose Biscuit Company and they have a website that sells the book.
Well, I guess these need to go on the list of cookies I'll be baking this weekend! Hmmm, I wonder if DH will be sneaking these off the tray like he does Spud's oatmeal banana cookies I make regularly. (BTW Thanks Spud, Joanne and Roger for that recipe, it's a favorite in our house.)
