Need Advice - The Flip Pocket Video Camera or Another?

My kids got me The Sharper Image pocket video camera. Very easy to use!!

I am not in love with the quality of video it takes. Granted, I cannot possibly stand 100%. Is this the best I can expect for this type of camera?

I have a flip video and if you want to compare your quality to mine - in the video section there is a video of Rooney Fetching the Newspaper that was shot on my flip.  Hope you get it figured out.

My daughter has the Flip Video and it does seem that her video quality is a little better - I am going to try to get her YouTube user id and send it to you and you can compare.  I have to warn you she is 11 and her video's are goofy!! LOL

Thanks Denise! They are just too cute! and the video is much better than what I have.

I may have to get a Flip for the grab and shoot while looking for the right camcorder.

I asked Santa for a flip video camera, WTD I got a Nikon Coolpix S8100. I posted a little video today, it's very short but you might be able to tell what the quality is like. My DH says he did a comparison at the camera store and the coolpix won hands down.

We have a Flip...I like the convenience but it acts up and doesn't charge very well.The video quality is not HD like they claim and no zoom is a big drawback for me. I would not buy it again. A proper camcorder for me next time.

thought it was too good to be true! I just wanted to have something to grab when the girls were doing something I wanted to video. I have the Nikon Coolpix S630   - takes good video but you have to turn it on, change to video and by that time the moment is over.

POOP!! I guess I have to start looking for a camcorder!

The Nikon I have doesn't require switching back and forth, good thing or it would be going back to the store.
