How often do you let your Doodles out for Potty Breaks?  We generally take Sydney and Olivia out 3 to 4 times a day depending on our schedules.  Is this too much?  Sydney would seem fine going out 2Xs a day but our Olivia usually will Poo 3 or more times a day. (We should all be this healthy, he,he!).  We feed them once in the AM and once in the PM.

Hi, Jared!  Dakota is beautiful and Ozzy is way too cute!  We love meeting up with pugs when we walk our Doodles in the park.  Sydney is only 10 months older than Olivia so their age doesn't seem to be the difference.  Even though they are both ALDs they are totally different.  But they did come from different breeders.  We love all Doodles and Pugs, too!  And for that matter, we never met a dog we didn't love.

Our still ring bells and rule the house with their 'outside breaks' -- LOL.  So I have no idea.

Rosco tends to drink the majority of his water in one fell swoop (usually in the evening) so at that point he needs to pee 3-4 times in all in the evening.  But otherwise he poops 2-3 times a day and is content hanging out inside most of the day.

Boca would like to live outside and we are constantly letting her out and calling her back in.   She likes to explore.  It drives me batty.  But she probably doesn't NEED to potty even half the time.

Wow, Adina, Rosco and Boca are very smart!  And we thought our Dogs ruled our "Roost".  They all love to go outside even when it's freezing or hotter than hot.  Well, we don't think we want to do the bell thing.  Our Doodles are much smarter than we are.  They would be ringing the bell all night.

I believe THAT is the only draw back to the bell - one of my Grand dogs rings the bell at least 12-15 times in the evening to go out and I am sure it's not to pee....she loves outside.

My dogs go out far too often mainly because they can. I can let them out into the fenced yard. I try to walk them daily, since the yard is filled with snow, but on days like today, with the rain, ice, and snow, that's not happening. They go out several times during the day, which is fine. But they do drive me crazy in the evening, primarily Calla. She usually goes out at least 2-3 times during the evening if I'm home. If I'm out in the evening they seem to manage fine til I get home and once or twice after that suffices. But I figure they get some exercise and so do I, running up and down the stairs to let them in and out. How could it be a bad thing?

Hi, F!  Good to hear from you since the Romp in OC.  Calla and Luca do look very content and happily exercized!  Can you believe this crazy weather?  We are pretty tired of all the shovelling.  We are just dreaming about the next Romp and Spring weather.
Caitlin, your Albus is way too cute!  We love your pics.  How in the world do you get Albus to pose so nicely for you?  Our Doodles are camera shy.  They don't photograph too well, but then again we don't either for that matter.

Spud and Starlit go out to go out.  Three times the first hour, then a break.  Then one each hour, ever hour after that for the next 5 hours.  Then a long nap.  In the evening it starts up again.  I'd say they go out about 18 to 20 times a day!  Both are on completely different schedules.  It gets to a point where it causes tension in our house to whose turn is it this time!!!   It is out of hand.

They know when each good TV program begins--of course they want us to miss the beginning of a show.  It is a conspiracy!!!      :)
Joanne, we think that Spud and Starlit sure have your number.  We know how that feels because our Doodles had our number as soon as we brought them home as puppies.  The only time we were taking our Doodles out 18 to 20 times a day was when they were sick with some crazy bug.  Otherwise, 4 times a day has been our limit.  The first time they go out in the morning, they get 30 minutes of running around and playing ball.

Duncan goes out about 4 times a day. I don't have a yard so it's pretty routine. We go for a quick 10 min walk about 8am.

Then there's the 1ish walk which sometimes turns into a walk at the park and lasts longer if weather permits. Then about 5ish which is usually coupled with his trip to the dog run. (although we haven't been able to go as much because of the weather) and then a quick pee before bed around 10pm. But that is literally me opening the door and saying "go potty" and he'll go to the very edge of the front yard and pee and run right back in the house so i can stay at the doorway for that one.

He's so used to this routine that he actually gets fidgety in the house within minutes of those times. The longest i've ever gone between his potty breaks is 6 hours. And once i got stuck in traffic and i think he held it closer to 7.

Sally, thanks for your reply.  Your Duncan is very, very adorable.  He looks like a stuffed animal.  We love your pics.  Looks like Duncan has a snowsuit.  We need to get our Olivia a snowsuit.  She gets those snowballs all over her coat just like Duncan.  We tried to blow dry the snowballs last week but Olivia wasn't too crazy about that.  Well. before we know it, we will be back at the beach for the Doodle Romp.  We hope to see you in the spring at some of the Romps.  You are not too far from us!
Darwin generally asks to go out 1 time during the day. We take him out in the morning and before bed, and somewhere in the middle he will go sit by the door. He only poops 1, maybe 2 times per day at this point.
