We had originally gotten Bella for us to each share in the doodle love when we are in different rooms. One for each of us. Murphy always seemed torn like "Which way should I go?" So sometimes he wouldn't go anywhere. Now we have Bella and she is like a shadow!!!  In the kitchen, living room, bathroom, right along side me while we sleep. I just love it and didn't realize how absolutely curious they can be with every little thing. Murphy had always been a little aloof and disinterested in what I was doing.

I should have named her Nelly, for Nosey Nellie!!!  Has her nose into everything I'm doing!! LOVE IT!!

Do you have a clingy nosey doodle?

Except for sleeping in his crate at night (by his own choice) - Banjo is my constant  companion....in the kitchen, in the laundry room, in the bathroom....where ever I am so is Mr. Velcro.  It works out well....I always have someone to talk to!
Absolutely....I have two Velcro boys.  Where I go, they go.  Not only do they follow me everywhere, they STARE at me...all the time.
Oh yes, forgot about the staring! I Love talking to them too. I guess it's better than talking to yourself and I know they listen to me better than DH does!  :)
OMG, I forgot about the stare Oliver does that too!!!!!
Lily's like a shadow with me.

When Jack was a puppy, yes, he never, ever left my side ever. Now he is with my almost 90 percent of the time. He does like laying in the guest room and watching out the window, if he is not doing that he is with me. He waits outside the bath tub when I take a bath, he follows me to go potty. He for sure goes with me in the kitchen.

I love it. Though he is not insecure, if I tell him to stay there I will be right back. He will stay without anxiety, at least for a few minutes!!

I cannot pee without the Roonster being right there.  Rooney's breeder told me that males will be your shadow.  And he is.  I think he is sleeping and I go to the laundry room, here he comes.  I think he is sleeping and I carry a load into the bedroom, here he comes.  My doodle boy does like me outta his sight.
Oh yes...very curious and velcro-like.  At least Rosco.  Boca is still a busy puppy that has to poke around the house and check things all the time.  And like I've said before...she would GLADLY spend the majority of her time in the yard.  We have to constantly remind her "Boca...WE are your family...not the trees and squirrels and branches and grass!  Why won't you just hang out with US?"  Boca's version of wanting to be near is to poke you with her nose while you're on the couch using the laptop or watching tv or reading or trying to dress a toddler.  Poke Poke Poke!

Maybe if you all donned racoon caps Boca might want to hang out inside more?   : )

Willy never leaves my side. No matter where I go, there he is, underfoot! He also talks to me whenever I don't give him my full attention, unless he's sleeping at my feet. If I go to the garage, he's there, sure that I'm going to pick up his leash or the car keys.I never have to call him, because he's always right by my side. He wants to be part of whatever I do. Big time people loving doodle!
Dylan is commonly referred to as 'shadow'. If one of us leaves the room, he follows. Even if it's just a trip to the loo, he'll wait outside!

When we're walking him,me and hubby often walk in different directions to encourage him to run from one to the other to get him running but to start with he'll always look anxiously from me to hubby to decide what to do. Makes me feel bad but then he remembers that it's for him to run and he enjoys the exercise.

I was just remembering a conversation I had with Murphy's trainer/behaviorist.  I was telling him about how guilty I was feeling that because of the weather, Murph was not getting enough exercise.  Somehow the treadmill does not replace a really good walk in the Park.  He said..."All he really wants is to be with you, Jane.  As long as he's with his family, with two "square meals" a day, he's fine.  Yes, he'll feel better physically when he's getting more exercise, but as long as he can "hang around" with you he's got what he needs".  I don't know if this is true, but it sure made me feel better.  It's kind of daunting to think about how critical we are to them.
