I saw this a few minutes ago and wondered if someone knew who to contact or if IDOG or DRC are already working to get him out?

Hi melissa! You can email Adrianne @ DRC at 2doodlesmom@gmail.com and you can post in OH group and cross post on DRC http://doodlerescuecollectiveinc.org/
Thanks for keeping and eye out for the doodles!
Don't thank us until we actually do something, lol.
Ohio, we need fosters!!!!!!!!!! You've got a lot of doodles in need, and nowhere to put them while they wait for their forever homes!
Okay, i have never seen a dog listed as "due for adoption/euthanazia" in my life. That makes me want to toss my cookies.
It's usually called the "available" date; when a kill shelter says "available" 2/18 (or whatever), that's the date the legal hold is up and the dog can be euthanized or adopted, whichever comes first.
This shelter has no veterinary care available, so any dogs with what appear to be medical issues are just deemed unadoptable and automatically put down.
I am deeply sorry to have to tell you that this poor dog is at the Rainbow Bridge.
He had apparently been beaten so badly prior to being brought in to the shelter that he had massive internal injuries, and was left that way for three days with no medical care or treatment. He was scheduled to be euthanized by heart-stick this afternoon. (I will not horrify you further by expalining what the heart-stick method of euthanization is, but you can google it. many people are fighting to outlaw it, but this kind of "shelter" continues to kill animals in this barbaric but cheap way.)
Our volunteer who pulled him brought him to an emergency vet, who advised that there was nothing that could be done for this poor dog except to end his suffering humanely, which we did. The internal injuries were beyond repair. At least he died in the company of compassionate human beings.
This is the reality of the homeless animal problem in this country. Please do whatever you can to help. Maybe in his memory.
