Reading Sue's post about Bella eating her own poo-poo reminded me that years ago I had a friend who had the same issue with a Shitzu rescue. Besides eating her own poo Ginseng also rarely associated with the rest of the family.

The communicator had been brought to town by the local PBS station for a fund raiser and locals could book sessions with her. So my friend took Ginseng for a session and I tagged along. It was pretty interesting actually.

After talking silently with Ginseng the communicator was able to advise my friend as to why her dog ate poop how to get her to stop and also how to get her to interact with the family. After implementing the suggestions given her by the communicator, my friend's dog DID stop eating her poop and also became integrated into the family.  It was pretty amazing really!!

Has anyone else had any experience consulting with an Animal Communicator for their doodles or other animal companions? And what are your thoughts about the concept of "Animal Communicators" in general?"

I have only seen this on TV... but if I had serious problems, I would be willing to try!

What did you see on TV?  Yeah, I would probably try it too after having the experience I described. But I'm sure there are good ones and those who are not so good out there.

It's interesting...but not something I would ever do.
My friend (who is also my business partner) paid for a phone consultation with a "pet psychic" - not once, but twice - to determine why her cat was peeing on the rug.  Apparently Oreo told the psychic she was mad because she wasn't getting the attention she wanted.  Kathy started paying more attention to Oreo and MIRACULOUSLY the cat stopped peeing inside.  I told Kathy that the next time Oreo needed psychic intervention, I was available - for a fee!  By the way, Kathy really is a great business partner and an excellent educational diagnostician (despite some occasional wacky ideas).
LOL Deanna!
Well, wacky or not the"psychic" apparently served as a good catalyst to get your friend motivated!! LOL!!
Glad your friend's dog and family are doing better. However, it's not something I'd ever be interested in. Not my thing :-)
Too wacky??? LOL!!
a little. :-)
The trainer who is teaching my new class has been to an Animal Communicator.  I really think she believes in it too.  I'm a huge skeptic, but intrigued nonetheless.  I'm not even sure how you would go about finding one...

Hmmm...have you checked the yellow pages?? :)

There are probably many on line but you would almost have to have a reference from someone in order to avoid those who are, shall we say, "less skilled"!

I don't know that I would take this leap of faith either, but then I have not totally given up on my own training ability to get the poop out of our lives!  I am on to meat tenderizers now. Maybe I will whisper " Nooo Poooopppp, Noooo Pooopppp" over and over in a soft long tone as she sleeps tonight and see if subliminal messaging works. That's about as wacky as I can go for now.
