I've read a lot about the different sizes and predicting the mature weight.  Did your Doodle end up being within the predicted weight range when they matured?  Above or below?

Webster is a little bigger than I expected.  His dad is about 70-73 lbs and his mom is 55-60 lbs, I thought Webster would be in between or the size of his dad.  He is almost 2 and weighs 83 lbs.  This is not far from the "4 month weight doubled plus up to 10 lbs" rule of thumb (hope I got that right!).
I gotta remember that rule.  Kind of like double a kids height at age two for possible adult height.  :)

I am getting a standard that is predicted to be appx 40 pounds.  The poodle is a smaller standard.  I am hoping it does hit that weight or even a little more.  Sounds like overall the predictions are pretty spot on.

How big were the parents?

Luna is ~7 months old and came from a ~55 lbs golden retriever and ~20 lbs mini poodle.

She will probably be around 40 lbs fully grown, since she is now about 33 lbs and has a little filling out to do.  So as you can see - she's quite a bit closer to the retriever end than the poodle end and she's a "mini".  She was predicted to be about 30-35 lbs, and since she's almost done growing she will be near to that but probably a little over.

I would be hesitant to say that your standard will be that small - I have yet to see one that's that small.

Murphy followed that rule perfectly as he was 26 pds at 16 weeks and is 52 + 10#'s.
Our breeder said Gavin would be 65-80lbs.  At a year and a half he is 66lbs.  Tall and thin.  I suspect he will likely get to about 70lbs when all is said and done.

Yep - Lucy is a mini. There were two litters about the same age when we were getting her. I asked the breeder to compare the two I liked the look of on the website, and Lucy was double the size of her "cousin." Same dad, different mom. I chose her b/c I wanted "on the bigger side of a mini."I was hoping for a medium-sized dog in the 30-40 lb. range.

She is around 32 lbs. at 18 months, so she's right in there. I can't remember what she was at different points, except that she hit 32 lbs. around a year and has varied very little.

Doodles are so deceiving in that their "fluff" can make them look heavier than their true size. Just give one a bath and you see what's really under all that fur. :) So cute!

The breeder told us that Sasha would be 70-75lbs. when she was an adult.

She will be two in April...and now weighs 75lbs..

It seems that the predictions were right on!

They say to double the weight at 16 weeks, then add up to 10lbs to get the final weight. At 16 weeks, he was 25lbs, and he is now 65 full grown. So just about right, give or take 5lbs. :-)
Ned is a multigenerational dood, so we figured he would be the same size as his parents. He is just a bit bigger which actually puts him into medium status by height.  We love his size and feel it is perfect for traveling.  We got Clancy as an adult and were shocked by how much bigger by weight he has gotten in the year we have had him.  He is short, so at first you think medium size like Ned - not. He was 55 pounds when he came to us last March and now weighs 64 pounds.  He seems to have leveled off at that weight no matter how much or little we feed him.

Mine are a medium and a small standard Australian multigens.  Webber's breeder predicted  standard, which he is at 23"; he is at 45# (I am keeping him lean).  His highest weight was 48# when the Vet said she wanted him to loose a few pounds.  Seda's breeder said she might be smaller than medium, she was the tiny one in the litter, but she is a year now and is 20" and 36#.  I read somewhere that that puppies will usually be no larger than the mother's size in height...don't know if that is true.

Standard female: 45-60# (21-24"), male: 55-77# (22-24").  Medium female: 30-40# (17-20")  Male 30-40# (19-20")

Re. puppies no larger than mom's height: that didn't hold true for our Parker. I adopted her from a rescue and her mom was there too. Her mom was about 35 pounds and small in stature. Her daughter ended up a very healthy 55 lbs and like a female Lab. A surprise for us but we ended up loving her size and hope to our doodle will be about the same.
