I'm Heading Back To The Vet With Murph

Well Murphy's diarrhea is under control, and now there's a new crisis.  About a week ago I noticed that Murph was occasionally licking at his "anal area".  I noticed it a few times and thought he might be sore from all the diarrhea.  Then a couple days ago, he started doing it often, and it was getting inflamed.  So yesterday I took him in for a bath thinking that would soothe it.  Well last night and all morning he's constantly at it, and now it looks very sore and raw.  I have no idea what this is all about, but I called the Vet and she wants to see him this afternoon.  It really seems to be driving him crazy....poor guy.  Has anybody experienced this?  Guinness is also having an IBS episode (probably stress from his bath yesterday)...woke up to diarrhea all over the foyer and kitchen and vomit under our bed.  Looks like time for a new foyer rug and time to get the "green machine" cranking in the bedroom.  This has not been a good week for Doodles in our house.

Oh good grief Jane.  So sorry.  I hope your doods start feeling better asap. Keep us posted on Murph.

Oh poor Murphy, poor Guinness and mostly poor Jane!  Sorry to hear about all of this.  We will be waiting for news after you go to the vet.  Better days ahead.

Wow, I was having a rather crappy day but now I think I feel better!  Hopefully the vet gets everyone straightened out quickly (and that she doesn't make fun of your eye) while you are there.

Have you considered buying into the vet business?  :)  Sorry to hear Murph is having issues.  Paws crossed for him.

Jackdoodle had a little butt problem that sounds like what Murph has.  The vet gave me a spray to use back there, it worked very well.

I'm sorry poor Murph and Guinness are having such a bad week, and sorry for you, too! Hang in there, I hope everyone gets better quickly!

Well I feel better already knowing that JD (Murphy's idol) also has a bit of a "butt problem"  Maybe they will both be using the same butt spray!  LOL

I have nothing to add about Butt problems, but you have my sympathy and I know I'll be waiting to hear what the diagnosis is. Vomiting and diarrhea sounds ominous. Good luck.
