She's a chocolate female about 2-4 years old, and she looks so sad to be in one of the worst high kill shelters in North Carolina. This shelter kills EVERY animal in their facility EVERY Wednesday.

There is a doodle backyard breeder somewhere in Harnett County that keeps breeding and dumping dogs at the shelter where they are killed if they aren't pulled or rescued. It makes me so angry!!!!

Wow...all this time I assumed Michael was one of the sweet male members!  I am sure she gets this all the time.  Cool name for a gal!
LOL! Female here. And apparently the size of a peanut.

Ok, the chocolate dood has a spot on a flight tomorrow morning at 9:30 at the Salisbury airport. It's 2 hours from me, but I guess I'll have to drive her out there.

My nerves are so frazzled! It would have made matters so much simpler if I could have simply taken her at the shelter and dropped her off at the vet with the blonde doodle. What an ordeal!!

Thank you again for doing all you are doing for this doodle. I am so glad she is safe. I am just curious, did the lady really bathe her and take her to the vet?
Yup! At least, the vet records say so. The vet must have done a half-assed bathing though... there were still ticks all over her. And what sort of vet puts a topical flea and tick treatment on a dog right after a bath when it's proven to be less effective then?
Michael, you are a Saint.

If anyone would like to volunteer for the Doodle Train we would love to have you!!!

Join us at the Doodle Rescue Collective

It is set up the same way as DK is. Go to the heading VOLUNTEER, click on Doodle Train Transport, I have listed all states so just sign on any/all states you can drive and let us know how far in hours/miles you can drive. Please put your phone number on your page (it is hidden from everyone other than the Admin of the site) so we can reach you when a doodle needs you.

Thank you!!!

Michael - again I must tell you you are a Doodle Angel!

Out of curiousity Adrianne, do you know why the decision was made to transport this doodle by plane instead of utilizing the train?  It seems like such an unecessary expense, and undue stress on the dog, when there appeared to be other options. and yes, I couldn't agree with you more...Michael is an angel!

Here is a picture update of the chocolate doodle!!

And some nasty ticks I pulled off of her!! Poor baby has a bunch left, but I can't find them under her matted coat!!

What a beauty, but she looks so sad. I hope she gets a wonderful home.
She sure does look so sad.  Poor baby.   She is probably so confused.  I wish I could hug her.
