Doggie Day Care Allegations

Last night I saw a local news report that a doggie day care in our area has up to 20 potential citations for animal care issues (lack of water, dirty cages, etc).  Some of you may remember that a month ago Brinkley was VERY sick-- and I had previously said that I really thought it was because of the Doggie Day Care. The report was on THIS doggie day care that Brinkley went to.  Brinkley only went once and I even pulled Brinkley out early b/c I got an uneasy feeling when dropping him off.  I can't believe this.   These are all still alleged but this really proves that we need to trust our gut when it comes to our fur children.  I feel terrible that Brinkley even spent an hour in this place. 

 

I really wish that I could find a good day care for Brinkley in our area.

Wow - you just can't be too careful.  Good thing you listened to your gut feelings and took Brinkley out early, sadly got sick anyway but you did right.  Always go with your gut.

I know!  When I dropped him off, I noticed that the dogs were in cages; yet their big thing was that dogs are pack animals and they should be able to run and sleep with one another.  That's why I first chose this place-- Brinkley just loves to cuddle with dogs and humans alike.  Then, the odor was terrible. I know places that keep dogs will smell like dog, but this was more than I thought it should have been.  And lastly, they really played up how much grass the dogs would have-- yet, they were playing on a lot of asphault. Poor puppies.

Oh my goodness how horrible! Whether or not it turns out to be true, I think allegations like that would make me stay far far away.

Oh wow, that is so sad.  I don't think I would leave Peri without the webcam...I know what they are doing at all times.

I didn't even know doggie daycare facilites had webcams until I read your post. I'll be looking for one with a camera from now on!!

Oh that makes me sick.. My  Daycare used to be so good and then they got overun and Jack got sick. You are always right to go with your gut, not matter what. Thankfully your baby is okay...

Yikes this is scary.  Our pup is almost old enough to try daycare and we are looking for a good one.  We want to find a place that she loves and we love for her.  I will make sure to be very careful though!
