Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Does anyone else have a doodle fro Heather Goine's Cheyenne Valley kennel which is located just north of Dallas, Texas.
I flew from San Diego to Texas to meet Heather and to bring home Holly when she was just seven weeks old in early February. I wanted to see her parents Rocky and Misty and to see the conditions under which she was being raised.

I was totally ready to forfeit my deposit if Heather's operation was trashy and if it looked like a puppy mill. I was very impressed with Cheyenne Valley and with Heather as a breeder. Rocky and Misty were clean, happy and healthy as were all the other dogs. Heather was just setting up lovely "play houses" which she intended to use to give mothers with litters the privacy that they needed.

We have been absolutely happy with our Holly and would like to hear from other owners of Cheyenne Valley Doodles. Here is an early (7 weeks old) picture of Holly and her mother, Misty at Cheyenne Valley on the day I picked her up.

Hello, I just got my new puppy home from Cheyeene Valley Doodles TODAY!!! He flew in from there and I picked him up in Milwaukee, WI at 10:30am!
He is a miniture multi gen labradoodle and he is golden in color. He is 14 weeks old and is SOOOOO sweet! I only have had him for a few hours now and I can tell he has just a wonderful personality already!!
I have talked with Heather over the phone a few times and I have been emailing her and she has just been wonderful! You can tell she loves her dogs and is a wonderful, helpful breeder/person. She has been just a blessing to us. She sent me an angel! I am soo sooo pleased with her and the pup she sent, I can't even explain it! I would highly, highly recommend her to any one out there who is looking for a great doodle with a great personality. She is a top breeder! Thank you so much for writting! God bless and have fun with your doodle! I am posting the photo of him that she sent me last week (I will post some of mine after his "fresh haircut look" grows out). I am also posting a picture of my Ruffa that I got from a breeder in Ohio. He is a miniture FIB and he is 1 year old! He is "Momma's Baby". Enjoy!

I am NOT happy with Cheyenne Valley.  She refuses to return my $500 deposit to be on a wait list, with no signed contract, and no breeding has even taken place.  She is a scam artist!

Who are your new boy's parents? I noticed that heather has bred Misty to Zeus. Have fun with your doodles!
We are getting Misty and Zeus's new puppy. He will arrive in Charlotte tomorrow. We are so excited about his coming.
Congratulations on your new baby!

Misty seems like she imparts wonderful genes to her puppies. She also produces very pretty puppies because she is a beautiful Golden retriever. I looked at Heather's website and the puppies from that litter of Misty and Zeus are lovely. We are sure you will fall in love with your Doodle from Cheyenne Valley, we love our Holly!

Our Holly is mellow and sweet and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. This morning, I saw her sharing her bowl of food with three of her Maltese friends with no agression or possesiveness at all. She loves kids and other dogs - especially small ones and our cat is her favorite furry friend (although we are not sure that the feeling is totally reciprocal!)

However, last night, we had some folks working at our home after dark. Holly was in our bedroom and when the man, carrying a mop, knocked on the bedroom sliding door to tell us they were through, Holly barked angrily to let him know that he was not welcome in our yard after dark.

I never want an aggressive or vicious dog, but I certainly like a dog who will bark and let strangers know, especially after dark, that they are not welcome. Our little Maltese chirp at a stranger and then Holly lets out her big dog bark!

What are you going to name your new puppy? Post some pictures soon.
We call our puppy "Alpha". He is a sweet handsome boy. We kept him in the crate placed in our kitchen in the past two nights, he cried and barked all night. It seems that he did not sleep well in night, so he spends quite much time taking nap during the day. We will move the crate to our master bedroom tonight, and hope that he will feel more secure having us beside him.

I hope that he has the same good qualities as his sister, Holly. =)

Attached are two pictures that I took yesterday.

I was very excited about adopting from Cheyenne Valley Labradoodles. Unfortunately my life changed dramatically after I became the full-time caregiver of my elderly father suffering from Alzheimer's Disease. Introducing a new puppy is not appropriate for me at this time as my caregiving responsibilities are 24/7. I gave Cheyenne Valley Labradoodles a $500 deposit (no contract signed). No specific puppy was reserved for me and I was pleased to see the puppies being adopted at a brisk pace. After trying to contact Heather about my situation requesting/pleading for the refund of my deposit for the time being until my situation changed, I finally demanded the return of my deposit. Heather's only response was that she does not refund deposits in response to threats. Surely she doesn't want me to bring a puppy into an unsuitable environment. I am extremely disappointed by this response. I expected more compassion from a fellow dog-lover.

Oh my goodness.  I just had the exact thing happen with me regarding Heather at Cheyenne Valley Labradoodles.  I sent her $500 via PayPay to get on a wait list for a goldendoodle.  When I called her she said that the breeding would take place in August or September 2012.  Today is October 14, 2012, and, to my knowledge, no breeding has taken place.  My situation also changed, and I emailed her to ask for my deposit to be returned, and she said she does not return deposits, even though there was no signed contract and even though no dogs had even been bred yet.  It sounds like a scam to me.  Jan, please email me a monnad1@yahoo.com.  This lady has to be stopped.
