I agree it is a personal opinion.  I loved Grace's beard.  I thought it looked so cute.  Then we had a playdate with another doodle who was "clean shaven" and her doodle mom suggested we cut off Grace's beard.  She made that suggestion as Grace looked up at us with a dripping wet face --- some from water and some from drool as she was so excited on her playdate.  I did have it trimmed and I love her that way too.  It is growing back and I'm pretty sure I'll trim it again --- especially as the weather gets warmer and she gets wet and drippy (sometimes even smelling like a dirty dish rag :O(  Yuck!)  She, like all the doodles, is absolutely adorable no matter what the look.  And it always grows back...
I've been letting Porter clean the family's empty yogurt containers before I put them in the recycling.  'Nuff said.
Keep it!  Keep it! Keep it!
I, too keep my doodles hair short under the chin.  I like how it looks and is practical.  Also cuts down on them using the furniture as a napkin.
I love Maddie's beard and I only trim it a bit when I'm doing her grooming. I keep a cloth by her water dish and when I hear her slurping in the dish I run and wipe her beard.

I'm in the middle here. I love my girls' beards but don't want them looking like goats. Yindi is cream colored with caramel/rose highlights. She doesn't have a stained beak or eyes and since the girls eat a raw diet, they get their beaks washed after each meal with a "Vinegar Kiss" and a couple drops of shampoo. You can use a solution of Hydrogen Peroxide, and rinse well to clean a light colored dog's face and paws.

This is Yarra today. She has a completely different coat from Yindi's.

Could you explain the "vinegar kiss" a little more.  Do you have to rinse the vinegar kiss out or just the hydrogen peroxide solution.  Yindi has a great looking clean beard.

With every haircut we cut their beards as close as possible and then let them grow until the next cut.  Kirby drives us nuts because his beard is always dripping wet (he drinks a lot) - I would love to have it shaved all the time :)

Cut, no way!  I'm from the South.  We like our beards!

Love the Southern Charm.  This picture certainly is charming!
Okay, fine but you are a boy!!!
