April Fools is coming up and I have an extremely immature but awesome idea. My mom is a huge prankster and I've endured many pranks over the years. Shaving cream on our heads while I was asleep, Plastic wrap under the toilet seat, setting the clocks an hour forward, etc. So I like to get her good on April Fools Day. Last year I replaced every photo on her "grandbaby" wall with photos of Darwin. It was pretty funny. This year I'm upping the stakes.

My dad is on a business trip, which means that I can bring Darwin into the kitchen (tile floor) if I barricade him in with stools or something. I'm thinking that I should make a fake poo with some tootsie rolls, corn nuts etc. And stick it in a corner somewhere. So my siblings/mom will see Darwin in the kitchen, then later see a poop sitting on the floor. They have never gotten the concept that dogs can be house trained, so they are always paranoid about that kind of thing. I think it will give them all a good scare.

So... do you have any suggestions for foods to make this look realistic? I've got tootsie rolls, and corn nuts...

Do any of you have good April Fools pranks lined up?

For those of you who have said I act/sound older than I really am... I'm sorry to disappoint you. LOL

Ya that was my only concern...I think this is a hilarious idea Camilla....and for the record...maturity is overrated...just ask my DH..Bahhhaaahaaaa X-D
I'm thinking some brownie mix, with a little grass on it to lend authenticity, and you could smear it around in a couple of places.  Then later you could bake the rest of the mix and have brownies.  Multi-tasking...:)

I LOVE THIS GROUP.  We all sound like we just broke out of Animal House.  Can't wait to hear how it goes!

P.S.  Melted Reese's PB cups are AWESOME for the poo mix... the dark brown with melted PB really gives it authenticity. (Don't ask me how I know that).

I think I want it to be solid enough that I can pick it up, and place it back down. Because I want to trick multiple members of my family, and I think it will be at different times. I like the idea of picking it up and shoving it towards them... so it will have to be somewhat... sturdy. LOL

So pobably, cookie dough or brownies, baked would be sturdy enough. Frosting not as much.

Don't even ask how I know this but....Baby Ruth in the microwave for about 4 seconds....trust me on this one.  LOL.
Ronna, This has me very curious...what goes on in the South :)
Laurie, what happens in the south stays in the south :)

Check out this site....so darn gross but yet so funny....

They did have lovely fake piles of dog poop in novelty stores or that sort of place. They look very real.
Thanks F. I have looked online and found a lot but I don't have time to ship I don't think. That is why I thought to make it. :-) I'm going to look at the party store near my house... although I do like the thought of eating the poop I make. LOL
You are a baker : ) I guess carob would be better than chocolate, just in case....
Camilla--too funny!!!
