I hate to admit it, but I have become grandparent-like in my toy buying. We're trying to cut back in many ways, but the sight of a new toy for Buster makes me weak at the knees. His toy basket is overflowing, and yet I was at REI yesterday and got him a really cool frisbee (he didn't have one yet, so that makes it a little more ok). Anyone else have this issue? Please let me know I'm not alone!

Haha...you're not alone. My DH and I were just discussing this. Our children are young adults yet our house looks like a play yard:) These dogs drag toys all over the house. I am constantly picking them up. Their toy box(es) are overflowing and I ALWAYS look for more at the pet store:). Easter is coming...good excuse for bunny toys:)
I don't even have my puppy yet and I have bought TONS of toys!  I'm like a woman possessed.  I feel like an addict!!!

I have not bought too Many yet I think about 7 new ones for Trixie...But we also had about 75 + toys previously. (mainly stuffed Animals)

But I cant stop thinking of getting to the store to check out some new toys for her!  LOL

So what kind of toys are his Favorite?

Cute- She looks like

she Loves the Frisbee.

A little off topic.

But here is my Deja with about 1/2 of her stuffed Animals.  She kind of blends right in with her toys...

Guilty! These are just his upstairs toys! LOL
My DH was just giving me a hard time about my toy buying habits. If I go to the pet store for food or mundane supplies, I HAVE to get her a toy right? I mean she doesn't have a toy that is a... (insert whatever justification is necessary). Needless to say her toy box is overflowing! But she does play with every single one :)
I used to be over the top with buying new toys for Banjo.....that was about a year ago.....when we first got him...sadly he has eaten or destroyed all but the antlers and a couple of nylar bone type chews.   I loved bringing home new toys for him....but finally realized I was throwing my money away.

HA-you are SO not alone. I have a huge basket full of toys-and they are also all over the floor. Our house has

turned into a nursery. My husband cringes when he hears I am going to the pet store..and many times

goes with me to keep me from buying so much. I keep justifying as you just did-"but he did not have a toy like that one!"

You really made me laugh seeing myself..its also the same if I take a dog to the vet, it does not matter

how much it cost-thats my baby, but if I personally have to go to the doctor I have to really think about it.

Absolutely guilty!  My kids (who are spoiled themselves) have told me that I am spoiling the dog LOL!!
YAAYYY!! I'm so happy that I'm not alone! I love buying new toys, but I felt guilty about it because I thought I was spoiling her. But you know what? She's cute and lovely and deserves to have lots of fun toys. I don't have any kids, but I feel like I do. Taking care of a puppy is surprisingly similar to having a baby :)

Oh I LOVE buying Lucy new stuff! :) I love how she gallops around the house showing off the new item :)

I do try to now buy clearance items bc she can destroy them easily. I hit the themed gifts when they are off season.

So I dont feel AS bad.. :)

You are not alone. Our dogs have their own toy box. For some reason, Barley is addicted to pink pigs. He goes for those toys when we visit PetSmart or Petco, and it's hard for me to say "no". We also have many, many Kong products.
