Does anyone have doodles that get the crazies.  By crazies I mean running from one room to another at warp speed, with a wild look in their eyes, time after time.  Buddy does this often, its very funny but I don't know why he does it, or if he should be.

Yeah, Lucy has the zoomies after coming in from a walk too. You'd think she'd be tired and not have the energy. Another common time is after a bath. I don't know what it is about a bath but I think all dogs react the same way.
Yes, Sammi does it quite often after a walk.  I've found walks don't release her energy like taking her to the dog park and taking her off the leash.  That seems to be the only thing that helps  Only one tired after the walk is me!
We call them the zoomies too.  They are hilarious!
Yup ZOOMIES! Totally normally! :)

I think a lot of people call these Puppy Zoomies. It's a result of his age. :-D From the looks of it, I think they do it because it's fun! They do it less as they get older, but Connor is almost four and a few times a week he and Simon will still fly through the house like wild boys. I make them "settle" if they get too wild.

BTW, Buddy is just adorable! :-)

Thanks Deb, I think Zoomies is a much better name for them than Crazies.

Trixie did her 1st Zoomie yesterday after coming in from the strong wind outside.

My daughter had let her out...I was downstairs.  She came in ran upstairs & raced around.  I could hear the noise downstairs...Came up to see the Zoomies ending & my daughter saying- Shes crazy!

Yep - Luna does this all the time, especially when people come visiting.

She now knows she's not allowed to jump on them, so she releases her pent up excitement by zooming around the house!   Our house is somewhat open-concept and is open from the front door right back to the back door... a natural race track :p

Oscar has his "crazy time" as we call it at least once a day.  Unfortunately for us it usually happens late in the evening when we are feeling anything but crazy!   We all just crack up laughing and move out of the way.  He flings toys and bounces off furniture as he runs around like a maniac.  "Normal" I don't know, but common yes...  It seems to be the same wild behavior he gets when he is finished with a bath!!!  When the kids act like this we blame it on the sugar, not sure what we can blame his on!  Maybe there is a distant relation to the Tasmanian Devil?!?!

Toby is 2 1/2 and he still gets the zoomies like this, at least once a day. He does it when he's really happy!

He races down the hall then flies in the air to the sofa, leaps back and forth between the leather sofa and love seat, then races back down the hall ... then comes racing back and repeats this over and over. At the end, he usually burrows his head in the sofa seat and then comes back up looking like a muppet on a bad hair day. He's so full of joy and is so funny looking when he does this, we just laugh and laugh and laugh. :)

In Doodle language they are ZOOMIES and they are the BEST!!!!  They make you smile, laugh and happy when you watch your baby doing them.  We never get tired of Zoomies!!!
Zoomies! My favorite :D We call it butt running though because they always tuck their butts down, lol. So comical.
