Flower Pot Cake

I believe I discussed this cake with some of you DK-ers during yappy hour a while back. I originally intended on making it for Easter but later decided to do it for mother's day. Well, my parent's 25th anniversary was also this week so I made it as a joint mother's day, anniversary cake.

I also intended on making the flowers out of gumpaste but unfortunately life got in the way and I didn't have time. These are real flowers, and the cake is the flower pot. The "dirt" is oreos crumbled. Not sure how relevant it is to post here, but I wanted to follow up on the advice I received, and it is a flower pot after all. :-)

It's wonderful! Love the cake and the dirt. This dirt is probably better than the fakd poop. Of course we're delighted to see this.

Another delectable delight by Miss Camilla! BRAVO, girl!!! I hope no one tries to eat the daisies... HA! Now THAT brings back memories - I'm dating myself... anyone out there know what I'm talking about (I don't think Camilla would)

This is just darling. I am enjoying a series of books right now by Nora Roberts about 4 women who have a wedding business. The cakes they design sound fabulous. You are well on your way to professional. Your family and friends are so lucky to have a cake designer among them.
