Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello All from San Antonio, Texas!!!
We browsed and searched for information on Irish Doodles throughout the web and have only seen generic information until we found this site!!! We are so glad to be members of this site which is choc-full of information about anything doodle.
On the 14th of May, we will be picking up Lucy, a F1b Irish Doodle. Her dad is a poodle and her mom is an irish doodle. We have been visiting her once a week for the past two weeks and are so excited for this apricot darlin' to come home with us.
Being new to doodles - especially Irish Doodles, we have some questions that hopefully someone can shed light on. Here goes...
1. Coat: We know that doodle breeds have an assortment of coats. Based on Lucy's pictures below, can one get an idea of what kind of coat she'll have? Does anyone have a before and after pic of thier irish doodles?
2. Temperament: She is quite calm and used to people handling her (seems nicely socialized with the breeder and her 4 kids). We were just curious about this particular mix.
I'm sure we'll think of more questions – just excited to be here!
Below are some pictures of Lucy:

Hi!
Congrats to you too!
Picking up from Tiffany's? If so, I do believe they are siblings. We'll be picking up Lucy tonight at around 6pm and the whole family is excited! It's been a while since we've had a puppy in our home ( our yellow lab is 12 years old), and I'm determined to train her well.
Are you getting a boy or girl?
I have an ALD, but I would say that Lucy's coat is going to be a light to non-shedding soft, fleecy coat!!
I love Irish Setters, and I love doodles, so you have definitely got the best of two worlds there!
There is an Irish doodle here in our neighbourhood in Toronto, Canada. Her name is Rosie and she is delightful! She looks exactly like our goldendoodle Thomas...wavy, curly coat...she was very red but has become a golden blond colour. She LOVES to roll in the mud at our local schoolyard where most of the neighbourhood dogs meent Sat and Sun mornings...kind of an unofficial dog park.
Hi! Nice to see you here! Is she fast? Yes, compared to me she is :) She's wonderful.
Send me a pm when you get a chance, so we can talk more about your banner.
