When my husband and I go to dinner, movies, etc., I always worry if Toby is doing ok. My problem is solved! I just downloaded an app for my computers and iPhone/iPad that works as a "doggy cam" (as well as security cam). See: http://www.eyespyfx.com/mywebcam.html
The application that installs on the computers/cams is free, the one for the iPad/iPhone is $4.99 (once you install it on one of these devices, it will install on the other one for free). What's nice is that you can set it up on multiple computers/cameras throughout the house.
I just installed it gave it a test run. WOW! It works GREAT! I set my laptop on the coffee table in my living room and faced it towards my hallway (that has a door to my garage) where I think Toby lays down until we get home. The visibility on my iPhone/iPad is fantastic! I can hardly wait to go out now for a couple hours and test it out!!!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Be sure to UN-CLICK the buttons for "Show in Live List" and "Display Thumbnail"and CLICK the button for Password Protect. This way you - and only you - have access to seeing what the camera is broadcasting!
BTW, don't forget to disable the "energy saver/sleep" feature on your computers/cams - before you go out - lol!

Adina's husband, Clark, told me they use YawCam and it's FREE! What's great is that you can watch it from any computer/smartphone with a browser. (The cam has to be on a Windows system.): http://www.yawcam.com/
