Hudson is getting a baby sister!

We fell in love with Hudson the moment we met him and have wanted another Doodle ever since. We decided that this was the right summer. 1/2 of me is soooo excited and the other 1/2 keeps thinking, "What am I doing?" because Hudson is so easy. I thought for sure we were getting another male, but we fell in love with a sweet, mellow female. The kids have decided to call her Lily. She will come home in about 11 days.

Yep...see why you fell in love :) Gorgeous....Congrats. Our Frankie girl was so much like your Hudson; a perfect puppy, no barking, easy to house train, hardly chewed anything she shouldn't so we too decided on getting a puppy for company for her. We approached our breeder (of course) and this time we were going for a boy. Somehow, and somewhere, in the middle of deciding on color and size, I happening to go onto Doodle Rescue and there he was...not a puppy but a young man in need of a home. I applied, thinking to myself, there is probably so many others in the country who want this black beauty and I probably don't stand a chance....and here we are six months on...Frankie and Johnny the "perfect" pair. Some days I still wished I could have had the joy of that "puppy" smell again, but it is a trade off as I did not have to wake up at 3am to let him out to pee, rush home lunchtimes from work to let him pee, and best of all he was completely trained in every good way. Anyway, really just wanted to wish you the best with Lily (love the name) and hope Hudson will soon forget what it was like to be an only "fur kid" Blessings xx

OMD - SHE is beautiful!  such a complement for Hudson!  white and black.  I always say when we do doodle # 2, I would like one mostly white!  I know how you feel about the 'half and half" - I feel the same way when I contemplate another.  So glad for you!  Can't wait to hear all about the adventures of Hudson and Lily!

Angie - congratulations on your new little girl - she is adorable!!!!  Just so you know - I'm going to be stalking you here because we are on the breeder's wait list for a little brother or sister for Rooney (breeding hasn't even taken place yet so will be this fall/winter when pup comes home).  And I am feeling just like you - I really think I'm ready for another and I KNOW that Rooney will be a happier guy but then I think about how calm and easy Rooney was and then I wonder what I'm getting into.  LOL - so I will be watching to see how you do!!!!

Angie, Lilly is BEAUTIFUL.  Those eyes of her.....awwwwww.  I am so happy for you.  With a new puppy in my house and all the excitement it has brought to me, I can understand why you want to get another puppy.  I hope she's as good as gold as your Hudson is.  

BTW, years ago I had a Maltese named Lily and she was perfect in every way.  Something with that name.....:-))
