Today I saw just the cutest collar and matching leash and of course I had to get it for Rooney.  I bring it home and really start to notice that his "collection" is getting pretty big.  I think I may have a problem.  I mean how many collars with matching leashes does a stylish dog need?  LOL On Rooney the collar isn't too visible due to his hair so having the matching leash is crucial - right?  I think Rooney has at least 12 sets - how many is too many?  How many do you have?

STOP THE MADNESS!!!!  For all of you that have sent me new web sites to further my addiction - stop.  I've been burning up the credit card this a.m.  I need help!  LOL!

A small sample, the new one is the red blue green one on top.

Jane, when you get to too many you can always donate them to your local animal shelter. I stopped buying collar after I got the red rolled leather one, we do have a couple of cloth one that we will use for the summer when he gets them wet, the rest I just donated to the SPCA. I know how you feel I want to keep buying them too but I manage to contain myself.
We have 2 collars and one leash. The leash and one of the collars are just plain black nylon, and it is the set we always use.

The second collar is a leather collar with a fun design. He never wears his "decorative" one though, because you can't see it through his hair. The fluffy hair issue prevents me from buying any more, you can't see them anyways!
I can't believe I forgot about that one! LOL, I guess Darwin has 3.

Too many is in the eye of the beholder :-)

Rosco has one green boomerang tag collar and one. And one collar leash set made of cotton that I almost never use because they just aren't as sturdy.

Boca has a pink leather collar.

They each have non-matching brown leather leashes.

Then I have random leashes that hang that aren't ever used.

Thanks.  Thought I was the only one.  I wish I could do without, even the little I have. No collars or leashes.  Training collars are top priority for me.. but those don't come in pretty colors.  Love the old 6 foot leather leashes but even those are NOT made like the ol' days.   Love the bottom collar in the above picture though, Jane.

Yeah when we go anywhere they wear training collars so not even Boca's 'pretty in pink' leather collar gets displayed.
I have a bunch of "just in case" collars and leashes - one set in my car, one set in my husband's car, one set in the RV, one set in the plastic bin in the back yard, etc.  However, we've never had to use any of these.  Sedona's still using her first leash and second collar (which matches her first collar).
Haley's collection is fairly small and varied: a black flexi leash which is easy on my arthritic hands (used very short when out in public); a black 6' leash used at bath time; a black collar he never wears anymore; a lavender collar with peace signs which he wears all of the time but it does not show due to his long hair; a black no pull harness and a red Gentle Leader head collar for use when he goes off the property.

Oh Jane, even I don't have 12 sets for Rua!   LOL  But that is only because I have REALLY had to control myself.  Rua only has 3 collars and 4 leashes.  I have her "dressy" tag (pink w/ swarovski crystals) with her name on front and contact/vet/tag info on back and her regular dog tags (name/contact, rabies, microchip, dog license).  I have each on "clips" that I can quickly take off and put on.  I have hooks for the collars and tags by the back door, and keep a leash by the front door, back door and lower patio door.

One of the reasons I haven't gotten more is because you can't see the collars through all of her hair, either, and the stores don't stock alot of 1" small collars.  I do, though, have my eye on a really pretty leather w/swarovski crystals!

I like Rooney's new set.  I like the colors on the bottom set, but not so much the skulls - LOL!

The skull one is for his tough biker look to impress Rua - lol!  Rua doesn't need many she has her cute dresses!!!  Boys have to make do with the collar and leash.

That truly makes a lot of sense Jane.  I don't want my SIL wearing dresses!  LOL.  Her last pink dress WAS really cute, though, wasn't it?  She was thinking of Rooney when we bought it.
