Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Is there such a thing?  I mean everyone thinks that their own children are cute but lets be real - sometimes you just see an ugly baby and of course the parents haven't got a clue.  So couldn't that be the case with doodles too?  Would you admit it if you thought your dood was homely?  I just did some up close looking at some of the 14 week old litter pups that came out of the same puppy mill as Stuart and I just hate to say it but they are not cute, at all.  So now I'm wondering if that is what Stuart might start to look like and of course I would still love him but I would have to admit that he wasn't "Quincy" in the least.

Your Jack is one handsome Doodle.
Thank you, Nicky. :)
I dare you to steal one of those photos so WE can decide.
Hi Jane, I'm out of town so not able to see all of DK. I just want to tell u how delighted I am to hear stories about Stuart and now Rooney and Stuart. Thank you for bring us along on this journey with you. It is usually best to let the dogs work things out but Kona just dies not stick up for himself with our pup. We have to interrupt sometimes to give Kona a break. When Owen was little he was more confined and that was good for Kona. Now I let Kona on the couch, a privilege he never had before Owen came. Rooney should always be treated as the alpha of the two. It takes time and patience to raise two but well worth it!
I think you can see by Stuart's bone structure he won't be ugly. :-)

It's all in the eyes of the beholder....sure I've seen some ugly doodles at the store and such but I think (hope) it was grooming mishaps. Myla showed up to us with short legs, major underbite, smelly and tiny. I said DNA test??? She looks NOTHING like she did as a pup she only got cuter so will Stuart!! You are so funny!

I think little Stuart is adorable from that video where he sat so sweetly and smiled.  I don't think you have a thing to worry about.

Jane, when I first started fostering Clover (10 mos) her coat was in terrible condition, dull, wirey and breaking.  Once she got healthy, started eating a good diet, got a haircut and groomed regularly her appearance changed.  Comparing pictures you wouldn't even know it was the same dog IMO.  So maybe there is some cuteness under the homely look.

Wow! Huge difference.
Ditto on the huge difference.  You would never of know that was the same dog.
Haha!  NOT MY DOODLES!  My doodles are adorable =)
Funny, mine too.
