....when your puppy's bladder outlasts yours?  5 am...my eyes are wide open. I look down to see puppy and the other 2 doods stretched out in pure Doodle fashion....and I have to go pee!  Hmmm....let sleeping dogs lie, I say, but why isn't Finn stirring to go out?  Ok, so try to go back to sleep, as I don't want to ruin a good thing. Jaxon and Riley know to "stay"  when I need a potty break, but come on, I'm trying to get the pup to sleep the night, right. To make matters worse, DH is snoring next to me. So now I have to pee and getting irritated.....somehow  I doze off till 6:15 (when I do have to get up), and still the boys are all sleeping. Oh well, I get myself and Finn up..who pees eats and is now sleeping at my feet!

I suppose I am going to have to remove MY "water bowl" earlier in the evening from now on!!

That is hilarious!  I have thought the exact same thing at times!  Bexter (who is young - 9 weeks old today) can outlast me sometimes!  I too debate whether to get up or try to go back to sleep.  I'm afraid that when I stir then I will have to stay up, feed him, etc.  It is sooo funny to hear other people have the same issues!  I love DK!
LOL....isn't that frustrating...you finallllly get the pup down for the night, they are snoring soundly and WAM you have to get up for a potty break!!!
Yep, you said it, you need to remove your own "water bowl" :-)
I keep hoping doodles do not have to start doing the 4-5AM potty break as they age like I do: )
I love it...same thing in our house.  When I get up at 5:00 to pee, the Doods lift their heads and give me a dirty look.
Darwin can definitely outlast me! Sometimes in the morning he'll just keep sleeping after we get up.
My girls used to want out the second my feet hit the floor in the morning, but for the last several months, that has all changed.  There have been a few times lately that I needed to leave at 10:30 and I had to make Lucy go out before I left because she had not yet been out that morning.  When I took her she peed for like an entire minute, but she never asked to go out.  Our girls don't sleep in our room (their choice), so the million times a night between the Dh and I that we are up doesn't disturb them (maybe that is why they choose not to sleep in our room).
Pretty funny! We KNOW not to move an inch if they are still sleeping then it's a good thing. Glad you didn't pee the bed!
Same here! Our bathroom floor squeaks just to make it worse.
